strange problem

when I exit my cobalt most of the time I get a small static shock. it's really annoying. Has anyone else had this problem??? at first I was thinking it might be the tires, now I'm not sure..

You think its bad in a car try it in a semi! I shocked so bad some times that it leavs a mark!

Only thing you can do to help is to tuch the metal part of the door befor you start to get out to ground your self.

Yah, Yah! I get a little one with the Cobalt, but nothing like my F-350. I can draw a 3/8" arc off that puppy even after just a few miles drive. I can't imagine what Badmunky's semi would be like after a long haul. Try keeping hold of the door as you step to the ground (this will keep you and the car at the same potential, ***uming the door's conductive) then close the door. Any charge left on you will slowly bleed off as you walk.

Bad enough having to get out of our Cobalts, when we'd rather be drivin'. But to get a shock to boot, really sucks!

Solution: Buy leather seats. NOT SS SEATS - because someone might steal them.

k i wont go nerd on you and explain why, but yeah, grab the top of the door (the metal part) or any metal part on the car before putting your feet on the ground.

i have the same problem and like stated above, a strip will help. i may try a couple other things, like grounding the car, i will let you know how it works out.
