I test drove a 2005 2.5 rs. I wasnt too impressed on it's performance. starting off in first is tricky. I had to drop the clutch perfectly at the precise spot in order to smothly accelorate. and going into 2nd was always jerky. i think that part though was my crappy driving. I like the inside though, very stylin. This salesman was BS too. he kept going on how the subaru is a "practicle car" and how the rear brakes are disks, which are a must have, "dont even consider buying a car that doesnt have rear disk brakes" I asked him why? Will it help you brake quicker? He just said it was importaint to have, they are better than drum brakes. I just played along. whatever. damn thing has a huge engine, though bc its awd it doesnt feel fast. I felt like i was driving a truck. what i think is subaru is a good rally car, not the best road car.
Almost test drove a mazda 3 too, but the dealership was closing when I was talking to the sales. it was a 2004, it was cool looking.

yeah that is supposed to be a practical car, you want a performance car get a wrx, or sti.

hey u know what?! I can read, I was "test driving the cobalt's competition." just though people should know about whats out there that is in the cobalt's price range.
