I love mine. I've never driven an ss/sc but from what I've read in the magazines the TC is a big step up over the SC performance wise.

Good luck trying to find one. It's hard to find a white SS, let alone a white sedan SS

Well they ended production of the sedan ss. But I guess I'm just too impatient to order a car haha.

considering ss/tc you can get new cheaper then most ss/sc were back in the day new..its a pretty good deal.

its not just the turbo. new seats, suspension rims yada yada yada. i had a old 2.4 SS but have driven lots of ss/sc...the lag of a stock ss/tc sucks..its noticeable..and slow IMO. but once you spend under 500 bucks to tune your car you notice a HUGE jump in power.

do it, just get ready to make payments for another 6 years

i have an SS/SC and iv test drove a few SS/TC's
i had an intake tune and full exhaust on my car when i was looking to trade up for one
and while the TC was a nice car to drive it just wasnt enough for me to buy "basically" the same car
and be paying for it for another 4 years when my balt is paid off in 1.5, performance wise mine is just a little quicker then a stock TC and i prefer my recaro seats to the TC seats sound system is exactly the same traction controll was a nice option and NLS was cool just not cool enough to make me wanna pay for the same car for another 4 years
thats just my opinion tho
my plan now is to pay the balt off and then get a used C5 or C6 vette or a CTS-V

I don't think the lag is too bad. It could be A LOT worse. You're going to have slight lag with any turbo but I think GM did a nice job of keeping it under control.

instead of having to pay off 4 years of payments why not twincharge or go turbo with the ss/sc. cheaper and you'll get more power out of it

I went from a SS/SC to a 09 TC and when i first got the car i had buyers remorse . The lag is terrible if your comeing from an SS/SC , it will be the first thing you notice. The seats are good but if you have Recaro's then i say they are a downgrade....I miss my Recaro's. When my TC was new my SS/SC (mods below) would have beat it hands down. Ater about 1100 miles my TC really came to life thou , it made a big difference performance wise after break in..... at that point my SS/SC would have been in the rearview mirror.

The handling of the TC really stands out compared to the SC , the TC feels more planted and you can feel the thing trying to throw you out the door lol. But for Daily driving the SS/SC handles very good aswell . The breaks really don't stop you much faster 0-60 than the SS/SC but at the track i'm sure they show their differences there, I cant tell much of a difference between them in D driving.

Now with even the concervative Superchips tune i have the car is unreal. It will start spining the tires rolling along at 35 mph in 2nd gear sometimes lol. It's just amazing how a better tune can put you in the 300 whp -340wtq range . An SS/SC can do that .....it just takes a lot more effort and money .

The SS/SC is a fantastic car , and i still miss it from time to time. The SC whine is so addicting ...i didn't realize how much i would mash on it to hear the blower ,till i couldn't do it anymore lol. The TC fixed some of the issues that the SC had . If your SC is in great shape with low miles ....and you arent nervous about doing big mods to it to make the higher HP....then i would keep it . If it's getting up in the miles and you don't want to worry about a blower or turbo swap .....go for the TC . 2010 is the end. I knew I wanted one before production ended.

Sorry for the essay
