Thinking about trading in my SS

so.. im putting some serious thought into trading in my 2006 SS Supercharged for an 09 or up SS Turbocharged. for the last year or so ive been trying to save to get stage 3 from zzp and a custom tune and watever but recently ive just been thinking it would be better to trade in my supercharged cobalt with 66000 miles on it and buy a Turbo for $18000 or so with around 15000 miles on it. but i have some pro's and cons to it.

pros to trading in my supercharged balt:
1. i'd have close to what i would get with stage 3 just from the stock turbo balt
2. i love the wheels on the turbo
3. i like the exhaust tone on the LNF more than the LSJ for the most part
4. id be able to sell alot of the parts i bought for my current SS and make a good amount of money for mods. (look at my cardomain in my sig to get an idea)
5. id only be paying maybe 40 dollars more a month
6. the brembo's
7. the traction control and no lift shift feature even tho ive heard both suck hiney but that is from a kid i work with so idk if he actually knows wat he's talking about ha
8. my car has clearly been in an accident and the passenger door is a different color than the rest of the car
9. i love the pull of turboed cars.
11. id have an almost brand new car.
12. not to mention i have parts for the car that i wouldnt have to sell that i could just throw on the car instead of selling such as headlights, tinted tail lights, etc.
13. i know alot about this engine and car.

cons to buying a turbo cobalt:
1. ive grown attatched to this car. its mine. she even has a name, Amber ha.
2. i LOVE the color but i think id be ok with it if i got white or the maroon color.
3. it would end up being more money in the long run.
4. i dont know like anything to be honest about the LNF when on the other hand i know a shitload about the LSJ
5. my loan will be 5 years ALL over again.
6. its really hard to find one near me that has the things i want. i want the high rise wing again, i want the color seats i want, i want the g85 package again. not to mention i want LOW miles
7. ill miss my recaros, ive sat in the turbo cobalt and i like the recaro's more, although my recaros have small holes in them from the previous owner.

SO thats all i can come up with right now. but i need some help guys. i know this thread is stupid ha but i want some opinions. if u guys were me wat would u do? is trading my car in for a turbo cobalt worth doing? and are theyre alot of problems with the turboed cobalt that idk about? i know about the rear brakes a little. i dont know details but i know of it, and thats really all i know ha.. so please guys. im gonna start getting serious about this decision..

get an ss/TC!!!! Im a big fan of Turbo>Supercharge. and its so much easier to make power, just think about it.

Get bolt ons-dp,intake,exhaust,fmic,intercooler and a tune and youll probably have over 315hp and over 350lbft, how much work would that take with a SS/SC???? and the wheels do look soooooo much better.

Thats exactly what I did.

I always wanted a turbo car, and I couldn't afford the Turbo SS when I bought my Supercharged. well after researching and what not I figured it just wouldnt be worth it to get the power I wanted from the SC.

So I went from an 06 Yellow SS/SC, 95k miles to a Red 08 SS/TC with 54k miles. however my payment went up because I was negative in my loan. Went from 197 a month to 309.

haha holy crap. and yea i wanted like 270hp because thats like the best i could afford ha and NOW if i got a turbo balt id be looking more to get 310 or so which just sounds insane to me because i havent even seen numbers like that from a stock m62. but yea. if i do it i want one with DAMN low miles and im worried about the clutch mainly. if i got a turbo balt how much does the stock clutch hold?.. i could replace the clutch since im a mechanic but DAMN i dont wanna do it ha. pain and EXPENSIVE for these cars. the lsj i could get the gm upgraded clutch and be fine, which was maybe $500 in total but id need a much better clutch for 310hp or so

well, the GMPP clutch IS the LNF Clutch IIRC.

There are a ton of guys on the power you are looking for with stock clutches.

yea i think im going that route and i HATE how eveybody i know hates on cobalts. i tell my brother who drives an STI and is one of those STI's r AMAZING and theres nothing better type of person so i tell him and he's like. yea good idea. trade in a shitty cobalt for a slightly less shitty cobalt. buy a real car. but the way i look at it. is he spent 28 grand on his car to have stock 300hp or so when i could buy an 18 grand car and spend maybe 2000 (idk if im acurrate there) and have more power than him.

yea i will but dude, they're equally comparable. ha i loved the supercharger sound at first but now its just like, the car is to slow for that sound ha. it SCREAMS but im not getting THROWN in my seat. the sound of fast spool on a turbo is amazing not mention the sound of watever type of waste release it has. such as the diverter valve in the turbo. which btw is awesome. which btw y do people take out the diverter valve to put in a bov on the turbo balts? diverter valves recycle the boost.. bov's just dump it into the air

ha well i wouldnt expect to beat an STI from a dig either. that AWD system they have is pretty intense compared to others.

Why don't you look and find one you want before you decide to trade.

I looked around in your area. You've probably seen these but just in case....

I picked large brand name dealerships because if you owe on your car and want to finance these are the best places to go.

Not white and no colored seats but doesn't look too bad:

Cars for Sale: 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS in Riverhead, NY 11901: Coupe Details - 315845216 - AutoTrader.com

White and pricey but mileage is low. You'd need to remove some of the shitty mods but those would be good negotiating items due to how ugly they are. No pics of interior or engine bay though:

Cars for Sale: 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt SS in Milford, DE 19963: Coupe Details - 310016966 - AutoTrader.com

Advertised as supercharged but it's an LNF. Price is a bit high but mileage is good. No idea on mods though:

Cars for Sale: 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged Coupe in Lowell, MA 01851: Coupe Details - 316212305 - AutoTrader.com

Also, keep an eye on the clasifieds here.

Finding one with the color, options, mileage and price you want may be kind of tough but if you just wait it may come along. If you're willing to travel the options grow tremendously. Good luck.

ha i really do appreciate ur opinion here. the first one has to many miles for it to worth buying and the third one looks like it has to many mods that i wouldnt like. but the 2nd one ive looked at and actually contemplated. the mods that r on the car are WOOF but i could easilly remove them and even sell them. but like u said there were no interior or engine bay pics which worries me a little.
