pros to trading in my supercharged balt:
1. i'd have close to what i would get with stage 3 just from the stock turbo balt
2. i love the wheels on the turbo
3. i like the exhaust tone on the LNF more than the LSJ for the most part
4. id be able to sell alot of the parts i bought for my current SS and make a good amount of money for mods. (look at my cardomain in my sig to get an idea)
5. id only be paying maybe 40 dollars more a month
6. the brembo's
7. the traction control and no lift shift feature even tho ive heard both suck hiney but that is from a kid i work with so idk if he actually knows wat he's talking about ha
8. my car has clearly been in an accident and the passenger door is a different color than the rest of the car
9. i love the pull of turboed cars.
11. id have an almost brand new car.
12. not to mention i have parts for the car that i wouldnt have to sell that i could just throw on the car instead of selling such as headlights, tinted tail lights, etc.
13. i know alot about this engine and car.

cons to buying a turbo cobalt:
1. ive grown attatched to this car. its mine. she even has a name, Amber ha.
2. i LOVE the color but i think id be ok with it if i got white or the maroon color.
3. it would end up being more money in the long run.
4. i dont know like anything to be honest about the LNF when on the other hand i know a shitload about the LSJ
5. my loan will be 5 years ALL over again.
6. its really hard to find one near me that has the things i want. i want the high rise wing again, i want the color seats i want, i want the g85 package again. not to mention i want LOW miles
7. ill miss my recaros, ive sat in the turbo cobalt and i like the recaro's more, although my recaros have small holes in them from the previous owner.

SO thats all i can come up with right now. but i need some help guys. i know this thread is stupid ha but i want some opinions. if u guys were me wat would u do? is trading my car in for a turbo cobalt worth doing? and are theyre alot of problems with the turboed cobalt that idk about? i know about the rear brakes a little. i dont know details but i know of it, and thats really all i know ha.. so please guys. im gonna start getting serious about this decision..
1. You will surpass a tuned and bolted TC with a turbo LSJ
2. Swap wheels
3. Probably will have similar tone because of the turbo
4. You can still do this since you wont be S/C anymore
5. No payment
6. Swap those too
7. Get N2MB WOT box
8. If the car is mechanically fine then not a big deal.
9. You will get better pull
10. True but will have a more expensive payment for a longer period of time
11. You can keep these since their already on your car.
12. You probably already know a lot about your engine and the car

o yea.. much better. that would make sense if the ONLY thing i cared about is the turbo... but if u READ anything in this thread u wouldnt have said that

Get one... you'll be happy lol..

A tune alone gets you 300-315 to the wheels and depending on what tune and how aggressive it is.. you could easily get 380wtq

To get one like you want is gonna be like $18K and you're gonna have to travel. You might find one for 15-16K but it'll be tough and probably won't be for sale long.

If you like your lsj, you'll love an Lnf. I made the switch and couldn't be happier. I got my sedan with 15k miles on it for 15900, previous owner took immaculate care of it too. I had to go out of state to get it though. I flew out and drove it back. $140 for a plane ticket and another $200 or so in gas. If you can afford it, do it for sure.

I did find a Certified Pre-Owned 2010 Cobalt SS at royal Chevrolet Bridgewater (black coupe with 24,274 miles). I found it at gmcertified.com using the zip code you used in the post, and here's a link to the dealer's homepage: Royal Chevrolet Bridgewater | A Flemington Chevrolet Source in Somerset County NJ

Hope this is helpful for you!

That one Sarah found is here:
Pre-Owned 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt Window Sticker | Certified Pre-Owned

But can't find it in the certified or preowned inventory on their site. Doesn't have all the stuff OP is looking for but looks clean as hell. It's a black coupe with black interior.

Ya but thats y i wanna buy one with low miles, and with not much mods. I wanna an almost new car. I drive my **** as a daily. Ha having a turboed lsj is way to much work. I work on cars everyday and dont wanna have a project like that. Its basically either stage 3 with a custom tune or just buy an lnf

tvs walk a tc all day. But u seem really biased and arent listening to alot of the smart answers. So waste your money if that makes you happy. I DD mine everyday have 76k on her and will be running 11's just food for thought. in the end it is your decision though. i also have the tc wheels on my car along with the front tc grille. i like the way people think im a tc then here the whine as i blow buy them they are like

Its not that im not listening although i will admit im being a little one sided. My main thing is, that in order for me to get my car stage 3 or do a tvs swap ill need to save the money which may take a year or more. I dont make alot of money, so in theory, by the time i got stage 3 on my car i would have somewhere around 80000 miles on the car, and i dont like having a car with over 100k on it. I feel like starting over is a better idea. Idk dude

you dont make a lot of money, but if you factor in a new car payment, youll be right back at square one vs the money you would save with a paid off car...

This. people don't understand how fast a tvs lsj is until they have one (with a good tune). especially with E85 (which I had). I definitely surprised a few tuned tc's when I had my tvs.

ur not getting my point tho dude. if i do a car payment then ill have the power of stage 3 and not feel it in the wallet. i make enough money to make payments monthly but not to save thousands of dollars in a short amount of time. and im not close to paying off the car ha. ive only had it for a year and 8 months. and yea id have some money for mods after buying because id part out parts from my car now and get some money to do stuff.

ha ur snippity little **** arent ya. i havent made up my mind. im still researching. i asked for help for wat other people would do. i got like 75% get a tc and u wont regret it and i got like 25% turbo ur lsj/tvs ur lsj. im not saying ive made up my mind im just leaning that way. and i dont see how id be starting over. look at the mods i have. i have move most over to the new car if i got it and sell the stuff that i cant move over and have money for mods.. im definitely leaning towards a tc but i have not made up my mind yet. y ur relating me to women idk. thats a bit uncalled for but it is wat it is. the point of this was to sortof way out my pro's and con's and see wat input people had. im not saying i dont appreciate ur input im just simply saying i never planned to do a tvs swap to begin with. u pretty much told me just to buy all the things that the tc has that are pro's compared to me car. which if u read i clearly state it would take along time to save the money up for that stuff and by the time i do it will have been a year maybe two and my car will have so many miles on it that it wont even be worth doing anymore. im still looking for help here. i like that u have an opinion and i wanna hear it but wat u have said is basically stuff isnt possible, other than the tvs. that wouldnt be out of the question. but do u honestly think it would be better to put a tvs on an older car than to just get a new one and suffer with the payments for slightly longer and get an almost new one that can get a pretty damn good amount of power with barely anything done to it? im asking ur opinion right now. not being a dick
