Towing with 2.0
^^Calm down. It's the internet. It's not like fetting fired up and nasty towards someone is really gonna make a differance. Also the 03 Ford Lightning was rated to a 5,000 lbs. towing capacity and it's s/c. The Corvettes and GTOs are not recomended to tow and they are n/a. It really matters how the engine was built and where the power band was designed to be, not necesarily the type of induction.
I wouldn't recomend it because it would probably keep the blower under load for most of the trip and with the temps here I would think heat soak wouldn't take very long. You could always rent truck for a day and tow them out. That or borrow a friend's truck like someone else mentioned.

I work overnights and get home around 7am... since 8am, the phone has been ringing off of the hook and I just can't unplug it because of some family stuff...
blah
If I was you I would try and find me an old Chevy square body. You could probably pick up a pretty decent truck for about $1500. I wouldn't personally tow with my cobalt but hey it's your car.
ok first of all i have a syclone and in the manual it states up to 750 lbs for towing. I tow my two stand up jet ski with it all the time. Another thing the cobalt ss supercharged is rated for towing its in the manual if you look theres like one page on it and it tells you to be easy on the car for the first 500 miles of towing to break in the axels on a higher load. i also use the cobalt to take my skis places as well so dont worry about it but i think three quad might be a bit much. the only problem i see is bogging going up hills and wearing you brakes out fast.
According to the website, all Cobalts are capable of towing up to 1000 lb. Also, towing capacity is separate from payload capacity. You can safely ride with 4 people and a 750 lb trailer - just keep it under 65 to be on the safe side.
Clicky.

you could def tow with an ss cobalt. however i know my trx450r is rated at 500 lbs in the manual. then plus a trailer... i would say you could tow 2 quads max and even that's pushin it. 1 with a trailer would be fine though. i thought about getting a hitch for my cobalt since there's no point in me using my truck to take the quad everywhere all the time, but decided against it cuz i don't want a hitch uglying up my car. also, the weight inside the car has nothing to do with tow capacity. it's difficult to explain, but weight IN the car and weight being PULLED by the car are completely different.
p.s. you could pick up a used s10 for dirt cheap and tow with that. just put liability on it and call it a day. imho that would be the best way to go.

Not sure what Sport quads weigh, but my Ranchers weigh, dry, 500+ lbs. each. A 50cc quad would still hit the 200 lb mark (those little XR50 Honda dirt bikes are 110 lbs with gas and oil). A trailer to haul 3 quads would probably be in the 600 to 700 lb. range.
I manage a paint and body shop and have a 06 ss/sc. It is capable of towing up to 1000 pounds. I would never tow anything with mine, but as long as you stay below that weight, never leave 3rd gear, and only do it on rare occaision's you will be okay. Just remeber that on this car the wight of the hitch and the trailer has to be included in the 1000 pound weight limit.
i was just thinking of asking about this. does anyone have pics of there SS/Sc with the hitch on? will it fit with our rear bumpers? and all that bull about not pulling with a blower is bull. as long as you watch the boost and make sure your not boosting all the time you should be ok. but i wouldn't tow anything over 500lb. i need to get my dirt bike around. but pics would be nice to anyone that has any
