We figured we would show everyone some quality pictures of these mounts, as these are only a few examples of the 100's of these we have built already.

Remember all upper supports are CNC machined from 6061 T6 Aircraft Grade Aluminum.

That's why I'm wondering ...it's been about 12 days now and last communication mentioned they would be shipping by yesterday ...which it didn't..

When did you order yours?
Never mind...Looking back through the posts it looks like you ordered yours (15 April) 2 days after me (13 April)... This is what has me a little antsy....

Did the motor mount first, and I was like Woah! Then I did my tranny mounts, and it was like, zomg, what did I do?!?!!1

So I don't think the motor mount will make it much worse vibe/sound wise.

I picked up a pair of Prothane mount bushings from Turbotechracing, along with my dead sexy black/red solid engine mount. Looks just like the one in the pic above

If you want to hear how my car sounds now with all the mounts installed, hit me with a pm and we'll go for a rip sometime

Damn man I am frustrated, I just came back from a drive and wheel hop is back, it's as worse as stock and this is bugging the hell out of me...

At first wheel hop was way down when the bushing was still not broken in, but now it's very much back. What else do I need to get rid of this wheel hop? I wonder if the effectiveness of the mount has worn off as the bushing gets broken in.. It'd make sense, cause the vibes are all but gone now..

I wonder if Aaron will cut us a deal on some bushings, seeing as the ignalls is suppose to eliminate wheel hop altogether..

I'm not mad at TurboTech, I love everything else about the mount, it really solidifies the ride, but it does not dampen wheel hop all that much.. FYI.

Has anyone tried torquing the bolts tighter? Afterall we are using the stock torque specs.

Ryan

Ryan,
I have one of these on my personal cobalt, and honestly road surface plays a major role in it. I can have zero wheel hop one day and the next day on a different road i get some. I did install the prothane trans bushings and that helped a lot. These mounts only have about 1/2" of urathane on the side walls between the upper support and the base. Which doesnt allow for much break in or strech room. I would like you to try to see if wheel hop happens on the same road you maybe initially tested it on. I find rough roads dont help this, sometimes even some really new, smooth roads get some too. Again, by adding the prothane trans bushings, you are eliminating both sides of the powertrain movement. The TTR mount is only one side, and technically has to work 2 times as hard if you dont have the solid trans bushings.
Let me know what you find out.

I run the same route around here every time I drive. I launched at my favorite spot, it was the place of my virgin TTR mount launch as well... So road surface is not my problem, conditions are very close the same as they were when I installed.

Ya know, I was just very disappointed with what happened tonight, I haven't launched the car for a while and I was getting suspicious that the reduced vibes might mean reduced effectiveness for the mount.

I was hoping to prove myself wrong, but instead I got hop and to be honest I've never had hop like this before, I got under the damn car and checked to ensure I didn't crack the tranny! That's serious wheelhop....

I was totally happy with the product when I got it, it's by no means a flaw of just the product, this is bad engineering by GM as well. I agree that this engine is now acting like it's pinnned down and it's most definately going to be pivoting around the most secure point which IS still the mount..

I'm at a loss, after I hopped like hell the whole car felt dead, I dunno it felt like the suspension was off until I drove a few KM, anyone else every experienced this dull feeling?

Anyway, i gotta fix this hop and it's becoming expensive!

Lemme know what we can do,
Ryan

Ryan - Do you have tranny bushings they are only like $60 for the front and rear set. I really think this will help you a lot, i have both the mount and the trans bushings on mine, and i hardly ever get hop.

A bench vise, or rubber mallat, or a hand arbor press all simple tools.

You can do it with a decent sized bench vice.

All i have installed is this mount and now i can hear something vibrating by the passenger seat in the back. I think its one of the panels and it happens at around 3k rpms mostly in second gear. The vibes in general are not that noticeable at all but the thing thats vibrating is really annoyin. Do you think that i can try to get it fixed under warranty?

The bushings does have "Turbo Tech Racing" engraved in it as we make our own bushings, not an off the shelf purchased ones, like other companies. We take the time to engineer the bushings specifically for the mount.
