Underglow Loophole

I'm sure all of you have seen those big-rigs that cruise around all night long with orange lights every half inch on the front and sides, and red lights every half inch on the back end.

Now according to NY State law, I beleive that it states that only orange and white light can be emitted from the front of the vehicle and red light from the back.

Now because of that, theoretically, shouldn't one be able to use orange underglow on the front and sides, and red in the back, legally?

I don't see why not.

Here in TN, red, blue, and orange are emergency colors and none of them can shine. I don't know how that applies to the back though...

Orange can't be an emergency color... what about your park lights and turn signals?

Personally I've seen people cruising around here with red, green, white, and purple neons on... the cops don't seem to care. Blue, on the other hand, will cause an issue.

I actually talked to a local cop here in WI and he told me that you could have white all around except in the back. he said that would have to be red. But he said it wasnt a guarentee that i wouldnt get hasseled

I dont see how white all around would cause an issue though

So we couldnt put red in the back?

I'd like to do amber around the sides and red in the back.

It'd be a neat loophole if I could do it legally

put your self in a hardass cop mindset for a sec

pretend your rollin around in your cruiser.

You see your typical 18 wheeler roll down the road.
plenty of amber/red lighting like every other truck

then you see a kid with a tuned sounding exhaust.....wing....tinted.....audio blarin....and he has amber and red underglow.....

you see where im goin with this?

why...

Do you enjoy being a cop magnet and look like a stereotypical ricer?

If you want to do it, its your car and your money, do what you want. but If that were my thing I would put whatever color I think would look good on, turn them off while on the road and turn them on while in a parking lot or sonic hanging out with people , showing off the car.

But this is coming from someone that has always been a fan of the sleeper cars.
