upholstery question

I have a question for all you car guys, not just cobalts. I'm finally picking up my dream truck this weekend. The interior it's thrashed. I found a classic bench seat in great condition but it's tan. Do any of you have any experience in cloth/upholstery dying? Can it be done as opposed to paying to the get whole thing re upholstered? Want it to be black

Dont bother.

It will never set in well and is going to wear over time...

The do it yourself stuff just doesnt set right.

I would have it redone.
A bench seat shouldnt be too expensive either.
