Upper Mount Broken?

Hello All,

I won't have pictures until i get my camera from work so I'll try me best to explain.

While starting my car this morning I smelled something burning kinda like plastic. I opened the door to investigate and i heard a faint grinding sound from the engine bay. Shut off the engine and pop'd the hood. Very surprised in my what i see...

It looks like the Upper Left motor mount snapped and is pushing against the pulley's. There is plastic pieces all over my engine bay. It also looks like something may be pushing into the pulley system from the bottom it looks like a spring? I'm guessing this happened yesterday and while the car was sitting through out the night it got worse?

Anyone every seen this before?

Waiting for Chev-USA towing truck to show up, i'll update the post as i know more.

thx!
-Brad

EDIT:
Upon further investigation what i thought was a mount may actually be the bar that connected the pulley? this can't be good.... awhhhhh!

Update

I was unable to get pictures but it was the drive belt tensioner bolt that broke. Without extended service this would have cost me ~600 bucks + rental. This is whats listed on the receipt

"
46766 DRIVE BELT TENSIONER, BROKE JO680 1.7 INSP/DIAG FOUND BROKEN BELT TENSIONER. COUSING BELT TO COME OFF. REPLACED DRIVE BELT TENSIONER, IDLER PULLEY. REPLACED DRIVE BELT
"

Extended warranty FTW for the 3rd time...

thx
