VIN decode

VIN decode

I know some of the decoding but what are all of the letters and number mean for our cobalts VIN numbers?

1 = Continent (1 or 5 = USA)
G = Make (G = Chevrolet)
1 =
A = Body Style (A = Cobalt, G5, HHR)
L = Trim Level (L = LT, P = SS)
15 =
F = Engine Code (F = 2.2L)
1 = Check Digit
7 = Model year (7 = 2007)
7 = Plant Code (7 = Lordstown Plant)
321666 = Production Number


That's all I can remember from breaking down VINs at the dealership. The 6th and 7th digits have something to do with mine being an LT2 but I'm not 100% so I didn't put it down.

i work at a chevy dealership...this goes for anyone who needs info on there vin or anything that has do with the cobalt platform

and ill do the same for anyone that would like to know about there vechicle
