VXDIAG - DIY tech 2
Hey everyone.
I Just saw a youtube vid of a guy trying to fix a salvage vette and he had a new ECU which requires a clutch relearn, cam relearn. I did this same thing when going through my spare ecu tuning/install. I had to send out the ecu to get tuned, only to find out my hpt couldn't do the clutch and security? relearn. SO I had to go to a dealer and pay a bunch to get that fixed. This looks like it emulates a tech 2 on your windows laptop
Here is the product
I wanted to see if anyone has used this, and/or in case anyone in the future has this issue, they can find this product

I wouldn't be surprised if it worked. We have been emulating tech 2 on our laptops at the shop for a few years now, its called tech2win. We have a actual tech 2 for those oddball old cars that refuse to work with the emulator. Would like to see how compatible it is.

Nice, this is tempting. Any idea if a Tech2 is what is needed for a radio reprogram? (have a black face USB, but i'm avoiding the dealer because I don't want them doing the recall or joy riding it)

yes, you need a tech2 to reporgram the radio cause its the central hub of wiring for the Cobalt. I took mine to the dealership for this and they said there was no guarantees.

We don't use tech 2 or tech2win for programming actually. Only if the only thing needed to be learned is the vin. Otherwise we use a program called SPS or Service Programming System with a mdi or mdi2 as the communication interface to program modules.
