Angry Wait Till You Hear This One !

Took the wife's cobalt to the dealer today to have leaking rear window and falling apart rear pillar looked at. After 9 hours at the shop, the rep calls and says he has good new and bad news. Good news: "we are going to be able to repair the problem", bad news: "WE BROKE THE BACK WINDOW TRYING TO FIND THE LEAK". Stupid ******* tech was using a pressure washer to find the leak, and when he released the trigger, the forward force drove the nozzle thru the window. So new window and new limo tint, oh not to mention what was a in and out in 1 day, will now be 3 days.

I DO HAVE A QUESTION ???

I have heard that for each day that your vehicle is out of service for warranty repairs, those day are added to the length of that warranty. ex: 3/36 standard warranty. after 3 years. if you have spent 10 days of warranty down time, your warranty is actually 3 years and 10 days. Is this corect?. I KNOW I HAVE READ THAT SOMEWHERE !!!

Yeah this is true!!! and though it doesn't seem like much (adding a few days to 3 years) but true story... My Alero had a bad LIM gasket and they had to cover it under warranty even though my warranty was 2 weeks expired, because I could prove that the car had spent 2 weeks in the shop throughout the past 3 years...

Wow I can't imagine the pressure that the washer was using if the guy put the wand threw the rear wind sheild when he let up on it. Pressure washer can be great tools, but if you turn them up too much they will strip off the paint like the guy above said.

I thought that was true. I would highly recommend we keep track of down time, as this is a first year vehicle, some bugs are bound to pop up. Hell, I already have 4 days of down time, and have only had the car 3 weeks. This could really add up after 5 yrs. "I purchased the 5/72 for $800 more".
