Did anyone ever get a warranty when they bought their car? Either from a car lot or private party, not a dealer warranty but one from a third party, Penn Warranty Corporation for example. I have one but want to know opinions about them

 

When I bought my car I got a warranty the car lot offered. It was a third party warranty non gm. It was nice having piece of mind from 38k miles when I bought it till the 98k it lasted till. Although I didn't use it enough to make the cost worth it if I had its nice to know I could of lol

 

Of I can find the paperwork it covers a lot of problems which I'll use to fix the CEL and service airbag, they are covered but I gotta have all this paperwork

 

Some of those independent type warranties are pretty shady. Read to paperwork carefully.

I don't get anything beyond the standard factory warranty. Its unlikely that anything serious will break before 100k miles on pretty much any modern car. FYI things like sensors aren't usually covered depending on what your cel is from.

 

It's either a MAF or o2 sensor I can't remember, depending on part cost I might do it myself
