I have a friend who wants a lift to the bar tonight. No problem i'm a nice guy don't care, but my cobalt is a small car and he is a big dude. Does anyone know of a weight limit on our seats/car?

If the fat hangs outside of the seat, then that's a bad thing... Or if the seatbelt doesn't fit him...

are you serious? lol How big is he?

My Dad and I have both ridden in my car just fine and were both big guys. There was probably over 500lbs between the two of us in there. Once this summer I had four gys in there that was probably a total of 800lbs of passenger.

Unless this guy weighs in the 4 figures I don't think there's going to be a problem. I don't think you have to worry. I've never heard of a passenger weight limit before.

Just make sure you go over any old bridges and you'll be okay .

You're driving a small car not flying a small plane (in this case he may be taking the bus). No need to worry about overloading the car...unless he is i the 4 figures as said...

The manual will have the recommended maximum weight for the car i'm sure..and your friend and yourself will not be near it

He's not that big man, your car is made to take a 300 lb person no problem, which depeding on his height he looks about 280-350.

I guess if he fits in your seat, and if its not for a long time, it shouldn't ruin your seat. I don't think he woudl ruin your seat at all. I've had some bigger women sit in my car as well for long periods of time. nothing happened. As long as the car doesn't lean, you're fine.

dude my 325+ lbs friend use to own a delsol and it handle him fine. Im sure ur car will be alright. dont be so shallow you think a car company would actually be stupid enough to make a seat that couldnt handle a certain weight? seems like an easy way for fat people to get rich, just sue the companies...
