weight reduction ?s
Yeah i looked through like 8 pages and didnt find anything on weight reduction so does anyone know how to get the massive amount of weight
off of the balt cause ive done the easy stuff like alot of plastic removal, backseats, spare tire jack rear carpet... so is there any thing else left to do
muffler, resonator, exhaust piping....windows, window motors...speakers, radio...gas tank (use a fuel cell)....spoiler
the engine weighs a lot, you could probably stand to lose that too! (joking of course)

what measures are you looking at? I had a friend strip a CRX (which was a daily driver) and all he had in the car was the gauges (zip tied to the steering column) and a drivers seat. you could see the road from the inside.
Besides replacing all the body panels with fiberglass, I don't think you are going to lose much more weight. You could also see about getting different rims and tires, sometimes you can lsoe some weight that way.
Yeah i cant go quite as extreme as the CRX guy but like how much **** is under the carpet cause i know on the older hondas the floor was covered in like this tar stuff and it weighs quite a bit i know and does 2700 pounds sound rite for a 2.4L cobalt cause when i got mine weighed the other day thats wat it was and i was prety devistated it was that heave i was hopein for like 2500-2400 but nope if i could just get it there it would be nice.
I don't know if you have thought of all of these, but here is the list that I made

DEFINITELY lighter rims. Stock rims especially if 17's and 18's they're pretty heavy... and maybe some low profile tires trust me that's A LOT of weight off. And maybe a lightweight flywheel. Those I'd say are the most weighing you down if you want to take off simple things and not literally remove your entire interior.
metal?
metal?
