Well, It's been fun...

Well guys, as of right now I am leaving to go pick up my new ride, if all things go well. I have decided that as much as I love the Balt, it's just not up where I want it to be in performance. I never bought it as a performance machine, but as a fun driver for the time being. I will be selling a bunch of parts that I still have sitting at the house new in the box, so stand by for those. I am going to drive a Black (Hopefully that one is still there) 2006 Subaru WRX STI. I am looking at such a good deal on them right now that I can't pass it up, an 06 for an 04-05 price...still more than the balt, but with all the options, I just can't let this go. Please let me know your input on this decision, I know I am probably gonna get slammed but I am doing what I think is the right thing right now. You guys rock and I will never leave this sight, hell there is a bunch of STI guys I can get info from on here as well, but can anyone recommend a good site for wrx's? Just for my parts and tuning needs? Thanks and I will be here to chill, discuss, and go hang out for a long time to come.
Jon

Maybe adding a former cobalt owner to the STi crowd will make them a little less ______.

Ha ha, I'd say good choice, but I still love my 'balt.

They are kinda snobby aren't they? I'm not like that, I just have a good opportunity, it's gonna be stock for awhile, prob cobb stage 2 and that will be it for awhile...geesh I'm not rich! I love my balt too, but I can't have both...at least not right now...

I think one guy switched to a Suby. I looked at them but not my cup of tea really.. It would be nice but I am going to say it's going to cost me more in the long run.

Good luck with the STI. Did you ever order the Intense axles and what all are you getting rid of? I feel like a vulture swooping in on a piece of roadkill by asking that..... Either way, the STI will be fun.

It does kinda suck, gonna miss the whine of the blower, and the leather, and the xm radio, but other than that, I think the power and suspension should make up for it...plus it's black, i wanted the balt in black, but there was none available when I got mine...I think I am going to be happy...that's what matters I guess..

Yeah on the east coast they are crazy expensive right now and the cobalts are cheap, but apparently in texas where i am right now the balts are sky high pricing that helps me out cuz here the rex's are cheap...i will keep everyone updated on what will be available, may keep the n2o and spray on the rex...damn! Prob not though, hehe...might be fun once or twice not sure how it would respond to that...

Good luck with your scoobaru. I hope you get everything you are looking for out of it. I am also glad to see a former Cobalt owner who is not bashing the Cobalt on their way out. I hope you stick around some and share your experience with your STi.

I think ur talking about me. I got the best deal on a STI, i only paid 100$ over invoice. The sti is a fun car, but i still have my respect for my fellow ss/sc people.. i know some great sites for modding ur sti, im almost done modding mine.. i got cobb stg2 and its seriously the best mod for a car... and get turboback exhaust. pm me and ill give u a list of good sites with good on the car and what performance is good and what is bad. good luck... oh and black is nice.. but a bitch to clean.

I can get you a cobb ap for $400 if you want. My buddy wrecked his 06 STI and pulled it off. It'll be 6+ months until it gets fixed.
