went out for milk, came back with...
2008 Cobalt 2LT Sedan, 40,000 Miles, 2.2L Ecotec, probably cali emissions because apparently it was a rental car out there. Just wanted to ask a few questions....
Any recalls for this car that I should investigate?
Are the factory spark plugs "iridium", the guy at advance auto parts told me they were iridum OE replacements on the computer at 7 bucks a plug, i thought that was crazy.
What is different with the cali emissions standards besides the air/exhaust injection thing that i see on the air box?
What are the factory equipped tires for this car...hankook optimo?
Unfortunately when i went to buy the cobalt SS back last january, every bank denied me, so i wound up loosing out on that deal, but glad we finally got one in the family.

Good to know I'm not the only one that makes the occasional random purchase, went to the dealership with my 2.2 and bought my SS/TC . Here's the general idea on the power steering recall:
General Motors says it is recalling 1.3 million compact cars in the U.S., Canada and Mexico to fix power steering motors that can fail. Models covered by the recall include 2005 to 2010 Chevrolet Cobalts, the 2007 to 2010 Pontiac G5s, 2005 and 2006 Pontiac Pursuits sold in Canada and 2005 and 2006 Pontiac G4s sold in Mexico. According to GM, the vehicles are safe to drive and never lose steering, but they may be harder to steer when travelling under 24 kilometres an hour.
