What did u use to install your pulley?

for all the people that installed pulleys themselves or know what the techs used.
Could you explain to me what they used? The guy at ZZP said that you should only use the zzp pulley puller, but i know when people switch out pulleys when getting there stage kits the people at gm arent using ZZP pulley pullers, so what are they using?

Can a power steering pulley puller be used? Or what other tool. all your feedback is appreciated.

Regular 3 prong puller to get the stock one off, power steering kit to press it back on.

we used a hanger bearing tool to remove the pully then we had to heat the new pully up so we threw it in our parts washer for about 10 min got it warm and then used the power steering installer... but if u dont heat the pully good luck.. we tried for almost an hour till we heated it up and it went on just fine!!

Just so you know, the 3 prong puller mentioned above could possibly damage your stock pulley if you ever want to go back to stock. Also with the zzp puller tool it slid on and off like butter. It was a peice of cake. No heating up and fighting with it. I just threw some anti seze on the snout before I threw the new hub on.

ya dont used that puller to take it off a press with even pressure works best.... but i have kinda a issue with putting antiseize on a hub thats suppose to be pressed on isnt there a possibilty of it either a) spinning on the shaft or b) coming loose or off alltogether??

theres a press tool to remove hanger bearings off trucks... thats what we use to remove the pully... basically u take the charger put it into the clamp and press the charger down to remove the pully... equal pressure is always agood thing to remember....but if ur doing it in ur driveway not sure how thats gonna work
