Another friend on this site with an '09 without RPD is like $510? Somewhere in the 500s.

Albertas economy and insurance rates are messed up though.
are you with AMA, if you are i highly suggest changing companies. when i got my ss/na in 07 AMA wanted to charge me over $500 as well, i went to the company i'm with now and they were half the price right off the bat, shop around and you will get a good price.

Not AMA, no. I was with Wawanesa when I had my '93 Civic hatch and '90 Prelude, then I got the SS and I looked at 12 different companies. The highest being $8700 a year and the lowest being what I have now. Totally forget which company I'm with. I think it's Aviva, I'd have to look at my bank statements.

thats still alot, your age and the speeding ticket will play a factor but still i was 22 with a clean record and was paying $260/mth. i would shop around again. try finding a broker and see if they can get you with novex as thats who i'm with now but i'm 25 now as well. private brokers are awesome.

I am with a private broker haha. My dads friends company, and I use to work there too. My other friend that traded his 09 SS in to someone in Red Deer and he was only paying 300$ a month, same status as me and he even lost his license for a month and he used one of the companies I looked at.

I'm not too worried though, my car payments are dirt cheap because I put $11,000 down and in 2 1/2 months I'll hopefully be doing Field Safety Restraints on rig sites making more than I do now. We're the only shop in the world that does FSR, two of my friends are in that division and they take home like minimum 5000 on a slow month. I'm just doing iron inspections part of the shop right now.

Must be nice to live in the US. Ontario insurance rates are brutal. I pay $398 a month with no accidents, and one minor speeding ticket. Im 21 years old and not a home owner. The speeding ticket will be off my record by the time I renew this summer so we'll see if it drops at all.

I am proud to report, that as of today, I am no longer paying 317/mo (because of a thing on my record) for full coverage, uninsured/underinsured motorist, with 1000 deductible.

That bad thing fell off my record early, and I got requoted with my central Las Vegas address, and now pay 150/mo for full coverage, uninsured/underinsured motorist, AND roadside assistance, with 1000 deductible.

Between my '07 SS/SC, my '91 Z28 convertible, my '06 Grand Prix, and my home renters insurance, I think we pay about $200 per month. The Camaro is only $15 of that since it's on a classic car policy. The Cobalt is $105 I think. Not bad.

That's with me being 24, married, and renting a home through state farm. The deductibles are $100/$250 and I have insurance against non-insures drivers and medical too.
