The GMPP cat-back is nice (have a few buddies who have it), but i've heard the GMPP extrude honed manifold is a waste of $$$.

The GMPP catback is nice, but the honed manifold is not gona make a big differance. You need to get a true header if you are going to replace the exhaust manifold.

Also, please search as these have been discussed, discussed and discussed some more.

If he has a 2006 LS the GM header is going to be a big improvement over what he has . IIRC the 06 2.2's have that half moon outlet on the manifold with a good chuck of the outlet still there right??

I seen that before too, but I think that its only that way by the O2 sensor. In the overall scheme of things, he will probably be able to get 3 times the power gain with a real header.

You can use just about any header and downpipe with the GMPP catback. If you want to reuse the downpipe, you need to look for a shorty header. Midlength and longtube headers usually require a new downpipe. Search around they are not difficult to find.

Aftermarket L61 Cobalt parts

And if your gona do a "full exhaust" like your sig claims, you need to replace the downpipe.
