What Have You Done To Your Cobalt Today?
Finally got the clutch bled, what a huge bitch. With Dezod's braided clutch line, the clutch feels MUCH better - way more predictable and way better feel of the engagement point.

The main company its self has been around forever.... They design springs for military vehicles and such. In 2002 they created a sub company called Road Magnet, which designs & producse quality performance/lowering springs for cars right here in the good ol' USA. Actually they are sourced out of Maryland.
In 2007, Road magnet designed springs for our cars. I did a lot of reading on the initial tester car (it was a Cobalt SS/SC). They lower the vehicle around 1.4" front and 1.6" rear, but have good spring rates (310/260) unlike the other crappy lowering springs available with soft spring rates and terrible bounce/ride.
I ordered mine yesterday for $220 shipped to my door. I was reading up on every spring available for our cars, and decided to try these out. A year ago, I ran CM springs because of the rave reviews of great ride quality and decent lowering. Well, they lowered the car nice, but the ride sucked due to super soft spring rates. I don't care what anyone says.... they ride like ass. Sportlines are like a pogo stick, and all the others H&R, B&G, Ark, Megan are too low and didnt get the best reviews from what I read.
For the few that actually gave Road Magnets a try, they claimed they loved them, and the fact they are designed/produced in the USA is a bonus. From browsing their website and reading up on them, they seem to be a very reputable company with a great warrenty/guarantee.

They are a nice spring, def better than the stock SS/SC springs, but for the price they arent worth the 0.5" rear drop.
I will still have rake with the road magnet springs, but will be lower all around.

I regret ever removing my stock SS/TC springs the pedders rode like crap and had worse handling balance than stock IMHO.

I have to disagree with the crappy ride quality of the CM springs. It may just be where you live has rougher roads. I've owned them for a little over a year and ride just like stock. I couldn't tell any difference at all when i switched from the stock springs. BUT the roads here in BG are not bad. Yeah there's pot holes here and there but for the most part good roads. For the price I think they are a great lowering spring to consider when searching.

My roads are ass in PA, but I pick and choose my routes and drive on the roads free of potholes, and they still road like crap. Soft spring rates & reduced suspension travel = bad ride. No way around it.
People claim they ride like stock, but they must not know what a good riding handling car feels like.
I'm looking for a little more drop than yyz's, but didnt want soft little pogo sticks. Hard to find.
Road magnets seem to fill the void. We shall see.

Yep, the pro kit def road nice, and def tightened up the handling compared to stock ss/sc springs. SS/TC springs are wonderful as well, and a notch or two better than the pro kit. They are about 10mm lower trim height than stock SS/SC springs to.
