I was thinking about doing something similar to that, if I ever get this damn car back on the ground. I took a big bite of reality when I actually starting realizing how much its gonna cost me to finish someone elses blown up project. I just hope its worth it, and that everything runs right when I hit that key for the first time.

There used to be like 3 stations in LC but now there is only one ghetto Valero in the middle of town. I don't want to swap to E85 if they are just going to stop carrying it at some point.

Is it worth the power? Could be something to do on your day off.

My only thing is that E85 is NOT that much cheaper than gas is now. Even the Shell 91 I use isn't that much more.

But e85 is a hell of a lot cheaper than 100 octane

I did the math not horribly long ago when gas was a lot more. Basically, on my car specifically:

Gas = 420 miles on a 12 gallon tank(It's 12.9 but don't care.)
Ethanol = 360 miles on the same 12 gallons. That means I need 14 gallons of Ethanol to go the same distance as 12 gallons of Gas.

When E85 was $2, and Gas was $3, it was a big deal. $28 to go 420 miles on Ethanol, and $36 for Gas. I would get more power and still save money. That's fantastic.

Now, however, Ethanol costs $26.60 to go 420 miles and Gas costs $26.28. At one point before the strikes I filled up with 12 gallons of 91oct for $24. If gas prices continue to drop ethanol will be worth it less and less to me, but I am NA. I'm sure on a boosted car it makes a way bigger difference.

There is a gas station by my work that has real 93 octane 100% gasoline no ethanol. I know it's not e85 but must count for something lol

Maybe. We'll see how trashed this guy's blower is. If it is too bad I'll just wait and maybe do Solstice gauges instead.
