They recently came out with a new dip formula so you can use less dip with no base coat. You can get the whole thing done with about 2.5 gallons plus at least a gallon of glossifier or pearlizer.

They are all the new formula now. When you receive the gallon it will say plasti dip spray instead of rubber dip spray. What color are you thinking about?

Im not to sure yet i have been wanting to do white for awhile now lol but i was looking at the chameleon colors and I'm liking them too. And i was looking at some videos yesterday and he was using black coats at the bottom before adding the chameleon ones and i think i saw one where he used gunmetal gray to paint a car white or something like that

With the dip pearls you need a basecoat because its only glossifier with the pearls in it. For all the regular colors you no longer need a basecoat. I cant remember what the video is called but fronzie shows how the new formula sprayed.

Here it is

Get this stuff too. Its like a wax for dip.

Yeah ive been looking around the page right now lol. How many coats you put on? Also any particular place you had a hard time masking? Or anything you removed to not have to worry about it?

I might just try a regular color to practice and all that stuff then go more advanced lol im thinking a white with a hint of blue would look cool for me since my retros are blue

I took off the front lip, tail lights, side markers, mirrors, grill, and the cross beam for the high rise. The high rise is the trickiest part. You have to use your no fan setting alot with it. Also your prolly goin to have to use a razor blade to cut and edge along the dip on the small rear windows.

If u spray it right it will come out super smooth. If you use gloss make sure you spray it very wet. If u just mist it on it will just look like garbage

You can either spray slow or increase the flow of of dip in your gun. It can drip very easy tho so you have to be careful. Watch fonzies videos and just follow his technique. I think i did 2 light coats, 2 medium coats, and 2 wet coats followed by 1 wet coat of gloss. You can get about 1.5 coats of gloss per gallon.

Ohh yeah the drop is perfect for me and the same reason here I wanted yyz but if I wasnt going to actually use them for what they were made for I couldnt justify the price of yyz
