I still have to save a ton of money, and with having to buy a new house it's going to take a while. Maybe if/when I get the Exocet running, I'll save more for an LS swap. Or just FI the crud out of the little 1.6.

They are definitely fun little cars to bomb around in. They don't need a ton of POWAA for fun, but more is always better
I'd love to do a Spec Miata or Spec E30, but right now money and time really makes it not worthwhile. Not to mention where I live right now really prevents me from properly storing it. One day... For now I use my Cobalt for DEs and the Miata will be top down backroad fun.

That shifter looks nice I'm afraid to get another one because who ever installed the ARK one in my car never hook up the reverse lock or broke it and I don't want to even look. Lol.

Pretty funny story today... i guess ill take it as a compliment.

Went to my detailer today to set up an appointment. He's a big audi guy (nice s4 with bunch of things done to it) .... as my car is outside we are bullshitting and a random car drives by and the guy yells "japanese cars suck!!"

We both look at each other and go WTF.

Long story short - Turns out it was his neighbor down the street and he was in his wife's SUV (He also drives an S4 that is a garage queen)

I get a text message a couple hours later:

Going slow for now. All I need is my 52lb injectors and a heat exchanger. Maybe a flow through tank or icebox for the intercooling. But I've gotten caught up buying a studio condenser microphone and learning my guitar. I really need a pulley puller too. The E47 tune has some bite to it and now I can really make my timing aggressive so that'll have to do for now until I can afford the rest of the parts.

Did you ever find out if that station near you has it? I found a station like three blocks from my workplace. It is currently 75% ethanol and the gas is 10% E. If I plan to put 4 gallons of gas and 5 gallons of E85 each time I fill up I should be fine. Even running a lean WOT AFR it was more peppy. I dialed it in where it needs to be and made the timing aggressive but won't drive it with that tune until tomorrow.

Honestly you should save the E85 swap until you're bored with how fast your car is. Then it makes it fun again.

Oh lol that's what I meant. E85 blend to E47. Not much point to going E85 over E47. Extra fueling stress and not a lot of return on power.

Installed the Conti DW for summer use. Was planning to get the Nitto but the guy from Click Here for Tires|4WO gave me a nice price. Then went out for a short drive to test them. I'm amazed by how quiet these tires are. Grip is ok so far.

I'm about to get my second set of these. I've ran these on street and track and they seriously can't be beat for the price.

Saw an amazing looking Evo X. Lowered, carbon trunk, canards (not my thing), straight piped, open dump. Sounded amazing. I was behind him and he just kept reving it up and doing mini pulls. I pointed to the highway. He got on and I proceeded to put a car on his ass from a 60 roll and held it to about 150 and we let off.

Fell in love with my car all over again.

He was surprisingly ok with getting beat by a 4 door cobalt. Gave me a thumbs up

I know this probably belongs in war stories but I don't have a video and don't think you should post in there without one

Where is there to do 150mph around Albany on a Wednesday morning? There's always a shitload of traffic.
