I understand you dont have too, but my paint was really messed up with the clear coat peeling and lots of paint chips from the previous owner. If i would have plastidipped over that you would have seen it through the plastidip and it would look terrible.

i thought you said it was self leveling?

it would easily cover up chips, I've used it before and it hides it pretty well when done right

I guess some people on this site have zero comprehension, let me break it down step by step for people since they cant put 1 + 1 together themselves.

I sanded, primered and sprayed satin paint on my hood roof and trunk because my paint was chipped very very badly. I have at least 40 good size chips and at least 5 the size of a half dollar that were rusted. If i wouldnt have done this than when i sprayed plastidip on my car i know 100% you wouldve seen these through. Im not hack nor and idiot I am just very thorough. So can we please move on and not be childish?

It still makes no sense to me. If u took the time to sand and prime, and the primer turne out good enough to plasti dip over, why not use real paint? Just my two cents but seems like u took the time to build up the foundation then instead of building a house u put a tent on top....

Drove it to the dealership to order a timing chain tension, then drove it home. About to drive it to work in a few minutes.
