Who is the longest original owner of an LSJ in the world?

As the title says, I'm trying to determine who's the longest running original owner of an LSJ Cobalt.

I'll start off by saying I bought a 2006 Laser Blue Metallic LSJ on August 08, 2006 and I still own it.

Let the games begin!

Very few original owners left. I wonder how many have them and don't come on this site anymore. Congrats on keeping with it all theses years.

My Cobalt was build to order '07 Model delivered in Nov '06. Not older by age, but maybe by mileage. 286,600 miles of abuse.

What made you all keep it all these years when guys moved on? Just curious. I'm the 2nd owner of my 09 that I purchased in 12 with 21,000 miles, currently setting at 41,000 miles.

Yeah it hasn't been near as long as some. Still I've seen a lot of people come and go. Just wondered how the long term guys felt and why they stayed with it when others didn't. Not planning on getting rid of mine anytime soon. If I did get bored with it down the road I could always return it to stock and daily it for gas milage. That's the plus of these cars. Still have a good set of all Sean's for it and all my stock parts. They get great gas milage, and parts are pretty cheap.

It was my first car and to this day I still enjoy driving it. Plus it never made sense to get rid of it from an economics perspective. Ive had another car now for a few years so the SS is just for summer/weekends

I bought mine brand new in May of 2010. 1st vehicle I've bought new and 2nd vehicle in general. No plans on getting rid of it any time soon. I hate car payments. Only time it really bugs me is when I can't fit my hockey equipment in it.

For me.... I just got bored to be honest.

I also wanted something new, and a little more "grown up".

You have to keep changing things on the car (which requires money) to keep it exciting. I'm a small town guy so being in a car scene is something I've never been a part of anyway. Mine only gets driven on about 1/3 of the days anyway so I don't get bored as fast as some that daily it. Staged- I wonder if you had a faster turbo SS if you wouldn't have gotten as bored.

Nah, cuz I preferred my rare SS/SC over the turbos (no offense). That's what helped me keep the car so long. All the rare parts.

The speed wasn't what bored me, and it would def keep up with a lot of turbo cars due to the powerband. It was a lot of fun to drive.

I just out grew the scene and got bored with everything.

im 2nd owner of my 2005 ss/sc. bought it in fall of 2007 when i was 23 (im actually a few days away from having it 9 years). im 32 now, still enjoy it, and i mean how can i not? 275hp at the wheels, instant torque, takes freeway offramps at speeds i wont mention without the slightest hint of trouble, and gets great mileage. me keeping it as long as i have also has a lot to do with whats out there today, there is really nothing that excites me enough to take on the debt, along with the fact that everything is built like junk and over complicated.

if i were to replace it i would end up with a truck. ive got my 944 to go fast now, ive stopped modding the cobalt because of it.
