Im 27 and have had my SS since I was 17. I grew out of it as a daily after I graduated college. I wanted something more mature to drive every day to work so I got my ATS and kept the SS as my weekend car

I'm 49, and also have a 4wd Dakota quad cab. I would only sell mine for a scat pack challenger (don't care if it's heavy), z06 c6, ats awd, or ctsv. I like the new mustags but they are everywhere as are camaro's. I enjoy being debt free to much to get a vette right now. Wife has a 2012 regal that we drive when we want to go somewhere. Also have a project Chevy ll.

I'm 26, and I bought mine brand new at 19. Ideally if I were to move up it'd be I to a CTSV, but I'll never be able to afford that and like I said previously, I don't really like payments so I'm not sure what I'll do next. If I buy something new it would likely be a duramax Colorado.

I think I'll keep mine long-term. It'll stay as my daily driver. But I'll need another vehicle with 4 doors and/or seating for 6.
Maybe someday it will turn into a track only car. But I doubt it. I'm 36ish.

I bought my SS new and I was smitten, instantly. I have loved my car from day one. The squeaks, creaks, and rattles are a daily conversation that I have come to expect.
The car was rare when I bought it and even now, it still is as I rarely see another ss/sc. Much less another with a TVS. I often get compliments about my car, even now, at 11 years old.

I paid my SS off in 2 years, so I've been car payment free for most of my life because my first and second car I paid in full for.
My Regal GS car payment does not break my bank account, and in my eyes paying for something I enjoy is not debt.

bought mine in 08 like stated I was 23.. now 31... prob never get rid of it, was my second car, traded in my first car in on it (03 cavalier base), car holds some sentimental value for me, was really close with my late grandmother, who helped me pay off the car and was the last car she was in when alive, but I still to this day have to take a double look leaving the garage, and although she hasn't been driven much in the past two years she doesn't owe me anything and I have big hope and dreams for her.... still get that big smile everytime I get behind the wheel... lol loved the feeling so much bought another lsj about two weeks ago that I plan on doing up for the wife to drive... matching cars!!! ha ha anyways heres a pic of both cars thanks for the support fellow cobalt members

I bought mine in either June or July of 05. I changed jobs a few years ago to somewhere much much closer. As a result I only have 160,000 miles on it now.
My next car is going to be either a 911/Cayman/Boxster. I was going to buy last spring, but my wife wanted to buy a Bed and Breakfast first...
Cobalt will be sticking around until it's dead.
I'm 36. More prestigious isn't the main reason I'm upgrading. I just like a sports car who's doors open when a pull on the handle, and with a nicer interior.

54 years old here. Bought a black 2005 SS/SC and gave that to my son for take over payments after I purchased my Sport Red Tintcoat SS/SC in 2007. It is my daily driver with 168k on the odometer. I will repower this car. It is too much fun to drive and surprises quite a few people. Photos are in my albums.

I purchased my 2005 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC LSJ bran new back on 5-11-2005 from my local dealer. It had 9 miles on it when I got it. Unfortunately I paid 25k since I just couldn't wait & had to get one the 2nd they came out. Because of this I was stuck with high car payments for 5 years which delayed any modifying that I wanted to do. Once 2010 hit & I made my last car payment the moddying began. During the 5 year wait I had built up a huge list of parts that I wanted to buy & now almost 7 years later & more than 8k in parts labor & shipping in still not at the bottom of my list lol.
I was 24 when I purchased my LSJ new now 11 years & 7 months later I'm about to turn 36 however I'm not anywhere close to outgrowing my LSJ & she's not showing any signs of slowing.
My 05 has 180k miles on it now & ive owned her for exactly 11 years 7 months 6 days & a couple of hours the good news is the wife & I work together @ the same office so we drive her 2008 Pontiac G8 GT daily which allows my LSJ to relax in my insulated attached garage.
I take it out once maybe twice a week.

So guys I may have everyone beat here 😁 I saw an add in a magazine for the 2005 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC back in the later summer/early fall of 2014. I absolutely had to have one so I started talking with some of my local GM Chevy dealers in the Columbus Ohio area where I live prior to them coming out. One of my buddies who was a salesman at my local GM dealer at the time shopped around for me in advance. He knew I wanted a yellow one however when the Chevy dealers in my area 1st started to get them early in 05 we couldn't find any yellow ones only black & blue ones so he found me a brand new yellow one up in Sterling Heights MI at a dealer called Buff Whelan Chevrolet however it was the only yellow one that they had.
I immediately had a sizable down payment wired up to the salesman that we were dealing with so that he would hold it for me. I called off work the very same day & had my buddy drive me up north to MI to pick her up! I keep everything so the entire history of my car stored in the my car fax app that is linked through my cars vin number. I included a screen shot below which as you can see it lists the date that I bought it which was 5-11-2005 & it's total miles which was 9 miles due to the 4 miles that was already on it from the lot tech taking it down the rd to put some gas in it for me to test drive & then I put the addition 5 miles on it while test driving it with my salesman & buddy that gave me the lift up. As you all know I still have her to this day & I continue to take great care of her & still putting a lot of $ into her.
So if anyone can beat 12 years 11 months & 3 dats then you've got me beat
