Thats the reason they tell you. Real reason is they want to have sex in every room of the house again without worrying about either of you walking in.

I have a house and two cars and I live alone. I paid off my 06 SS/SC in exactly one year. Got the title about a month later.

Put down about $10,000 and now a year later the car is paid off! paying cash for a car may be cool but it does ZERO for your credit. Do like I did, pay off half and then make every single payment on time or ahead of time and your credit score will sky rocket!

Well, I had an accident at work. After screwing with me for over 6 months, they finally started the worker's comp checks - $384 every two weeks.

A few months under two years later, much paperwork, my bank account down to under $100, and every bill a month late, two days before the scheduled court day, AIG finally admitted to me being underpaid. They had to bump the payout to $1300+ every two weeks, as well as cough up back pay, penalties, and lawyers fees.

Slapped the check in the bank, and despite pressures to invest in a house, thus dealing with a car payment, house payment, and two insurance payments, I went with my gut feeling of buying a car outright.

BTW, they're still ******* with me. Despite my back still being messed up, when the knee doctor said it was fixed, they cut me off again. I have a back doctor now who's requested an MRI, and seems ok. To give you an idea of how bad it is, washing my car messes me up for a few hours.
