Who is the rarest???
I have to agree! Arrival Blue was "technically" only available in '05. G85 was very hard to come by. Sunroof, most people seem to what the sunroof.
I realize the main idea of this thread is about the SS/SC's, but I have one of the most rare 2005 LS cars made. First, they changed the LS from 05 where it was the top option package to the base package in 06. My car was a factory order. They took 4 months to get a build date, which was April 05. I got the 1SB package, which is part one of why it's rare. Then I also got the heated leather seats, which together made it VERY rare. The car is completely loaded except for XM. I refuse to pay for radio. Sunroof, OnStar, Pioneer system, the works.
05 black on black LS sport (1SB option)
when i was looking for one, there were NONE in the whole country, and i've never seen one in person
I think we are throwing around the term "rare" way too much here. This is a mass produced econo car with some go fast goodies. It's not rare. Rare in the car world means that it will someday show up at Pebble Beach. It means that the most avid of car guys are likely to not see a real one in their life. This car is not and never will be rare. I can really only think of a couple "rare" cars produced in my lifetime. The Veyron being one, the F50 being the other. Of course there are a host of one off cars that will qualify but I'm talking about mass produced cars.
Our car may very well be collectable someday and the price it may fetch depends on how many people out there today are in love with it and want one but can't afford it right now, or how many of us sell or wreck it and then someday down the road try to find another new one when we hit midlife crisis. However by car standards this car will never be rare.
Now as for which SS/SCs are going to be the hardest to find someday, I would guess the 07s with Recaros in which ever color turns out to be the least made.

I could not agree more.
