i want to move me ss down to make it look better but then other ss/sc wouldn't be able to tell that i was a 05 modle!!

Sorry for the bump, but I just came across this topic.

It took me two years to realize that the SS badge on the passenger side dashboard was upside down!

How could some factory worker mess up so bad? I mean, he could look at the freaking seat's logo if he wasn't sure.

when my car was in the shop they put the rear and passenger side badhe both upside down and when i told the shop manager he hit his co worker in the head (playing around) it was funny

I saw you do it. you made a post about it and you painted some thing on your hood and your trunk. and then you said you put those in hte middle don't try and play it off like it came that way. Everyone even told you that you put it on upside down

It's real easy to tell mine's an 05. I moved my badges because a) it looked stupid and b) you can still tell the 05s depending on equipment. I have XM and OnStar...the 05s had 2 antennas on top - one for each. That was the only model year that did that.

yeah, the Cobalt 55 edition came with 55 more horses (260hp instead of 205hp), but it was discontinued because it would have effected sales of the '08 turbo SS.

It's just the bestest most awesomest car ever, that's why they gave it the 55 badge. Just check out the significance of 55 and you'll see what I mean: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/55_(number) Most note-worthy, of course, is the song "I can't Drive 55" by Sammy Hagar. Oh yeah, I wish I would have gotten the 55 edition -- it was only 55 dollars more.
