why can't i add a blow out valve

why can't i add a blow out valve
a buddy of mine was telling me to add one because everyone loves that sound, but after becoming part of this site and reading around i found out that we cant but i still dont know why?

i have a 2006 ss/sc does that mean i still cant have one. this guy told me that if i change my intake and charge pipe so its metal instead of rubber that i could weld the blow out valve right to the charge pipe was he wrong and should i smack him?

not mine, dual 3in exahust tipped,2.25in flowmaster x pipe, 245 45 zr 17's Bfgood wrench g-fources, all black, Gt gun metal wheels, raised hood scoop. i would show you guys a picture but i cant post attachments.

He wasn't calling the car ricer, he was calling your attitude ricer.
Ricer mostly is thrown around as a word that describes an attitude or distasteful style of modding. He wasn't calling the car a ricer.
Basically a blow off valve (bov) is something only used on turbos. It isn't needed on superchargers and its rather silly and pointless to do. And its kind of "posing" per say. People will kind of call you out on it, make fun of you, and/or be confused, when they see you have a supercharged car with a BOV. Why? Because it seems like you're trying to pretend you have a turbo when you don't.
But I've seen it done, if you want to do it. Its your car, do whatever you want man.
PS - I saw a cobra with dual "Fart cans" yesterday....owning one car doesn't mean you have a distasteful style. I haven't seen your stang but I'm sure its clean.
