I picked the Cobalt SS/SC because I love the way the car looks. Its features is just plane sex on wheels. My woman really likes the balt too. I would of never bought a brand new car though because I do not like ever paying intrest inless I have too. So I got 0% on the loan from GM so I said hell, why not! I could not of made a better choice, I really love my lil chevy sport compact. Did I mention Bang for the Buck.

I had been looking for cars for a few months and the Cobalt wasn't even on my radar. I had test drove just about everything that I thought would be fun for under 35k and really had my heart set on a 350z. The problem was the Nissan dealer near me sucks and wouldn't order me one with the enthusiast package, manual transmission, and in black. They seemed insistant on selling me a convertible which I didn't want. So I was pretty fed up with them when my dad bought a new car from the local chevy dealer. I went with them and they had this nice looking SS/SC and my dad convinced me to test drive it. I did and was pleasantly surprised at how much room and quickness it had. I went back and started talking to the salesman and they wouldn't budge on the price. I was not going to pay that for a Chevy so I went home. Two weeks later the salesman calls and says we have 0% come in and lets talk. So I came in got 0% and managed to talk them down to 20900$ and said sold.

The rest is history.

I picked up my SS/SC Because........

1. My 05 gtp had no more warrenty
2. I was tired of driving a big car
3. I am 19 and still need to have some fun in my life
4. I work for GM and get a kick ass price
5. My payment is only 300 a month
6. Gas mileage
7. I go through cars like water (not in a bad way, I just get bored) and I liked the SS/SC
8. Its not really laser blue, the color is known as SEX
9. No really, the color of the car is called sex :-)
10. I could go on and on, so I will stop here so you dont get bored.

I looked at a lot of cars before I got the SS/SC... everything from a V6 'stang to a (gasp!) Civic Si... four things really sold me on the Cobalt.

1: SRT-4 out of production, couldn't find any new ones left.

2: Price. $21k out the door... 0% interest for 6 years.

3: Power. Quicker than a 5-speed V6 stang (my #2 choice).

4: Economy. 25+MPG city... hard to beat.

That's really it.

Well my last car was hydro-lcoked by my friend so i took the train from NY to NJ where my parents live to buy a car since it was cheaper there (tax).. i told my mom to reserve an SS/SC in black and thats what i wanted.. they were all out of stock so i needed a ride back to NY and back and forth to work so i bought a Black 06 Redline and after a day it was having problems so i returned it and the guy had a Black LS coupe fully loaded with the sports package.. So 15 min after dropping off the Redline i bought the Cobalt and the rest is Sweet Sweet history

It was new and something different from my 95 dodge ram. Saw it as a concept, thought it had great potential. Looked great, pretty quick. Bought it.

Just ok with it now. It's just a car. Should have bought another truck. Especially now that I'm a homeowner.

I needed a fun, quick, inexpensive, economical daily driver that I could use to teach the kids how to drive a stick. This 06 SS/SC will eventually be used as a college car by my 15 yr old son.

Driving down I-40 West and someone was hauling a Black SS/SC on a flatbed trailer. I drove alongside that thing for thirty minutes, just eye raping it.
Decided that for the sake of comfort, I would get an automatic over a manual, was driving my Black ss/NA by the end of the month.

I had a 2004 STI...

I liked the cobalt because i had friends who owned them & it was a lower car payment for a newer car, better on gas & a better warranty
