Will a Flowmaster Super 40 Fit on an LS?

Hi,

I have always been a Flowmaster guy. I was looking under the car at my stock 2006 2.2 I4 LS Coupe. Its got a strange L-Shaped Muffler. I'd like to run a 2.5 inch custom exhaust with a Flowmaster Super 40. But will it fit? I know these are big mufflers (5 inches thick x 19 inch body) -- and the space seems tight. Or do I have to get something thinner like a 60 series? I really love the Super 40, I had one on my old Chevy Colorado and it was awesome!

Also, are you Flowmaster guys going center in/out or are you doing an offset config?

I just don't want something that is going to rip off when I drive over a speed bump.... and I don't really like the way the Corsa, Magnaflow or Borla sound -- I need a Flowmaster burble.

FLowmasters are pieces of crap. I'll sell you kates old one if you still want one. Everyone switches to magnaflow after hearing one.

Even thought they all sound like crap, it's just the least crappiest.

Seriously, I was asking for technical advice -- I'm getting a Flowmaster of some variety. But I'm concerned about clearance.

.... and I hate Magnaflows. I had one on my old Dodge Dakota -- rusted to pieces in six months. No thank you. Didn't sound that great, either.... and the Super 40s also quiet down on the Highway like the Magnaflow -- they don't drone.
