Windshields?

my windshield is all sand pitted... only 25,000 miles. damnit 23000 of it is highway LOL

Drew lemme school you for a second on your windshield glass. your windshield glass has two panes of glass glued together and laminated so when your windshield gets cracked it is only the outside pane. so you won't have to worry about water leaks unless both panes get cracked. the double panes are a safety feature so that if a rock hits the windshield it doesn't come straight through to the passengers.

that said i would definitely wait until spring. who cares if it gets worse it won't leak unless there is a hole straight through it. it would suck to pay $400 to get it replaced and then 2 weeks from now have a cinder or piece of rock salt come up and crack it again and you're in the same boat as you were 2 weeks earlier only ow you are out $800 instead of $400 in the spring.

I love this site. Always such good info.... If all the people here who know alot about our cars actually sold them then GM wouldnt suck so bad I am so sick and tired of asking the dealership a question only to find out they were talking out their ass......
