Naturally it is hard to say.
He doesn't say anything about mileage. He says it looks good inside but a lot of damage won't show until you tear it down.
And he definately says that when you buy it you are stuck with it.
But if the bidding doesn't go crazy it could be a great buy. Don't forget that it might cost a lot to ship.
I don't know what these go for in a junkyard, I'd check around and find out. A lot of junkyards give you at least a little bit of a warranty so I would say this engine isn't worth as much as a junkyard unit because we really don't know what it is like on the inside.
Keep in mind that you can get a new LSJ (with no supercharger) for about $2500, I think it was. Check crate engine depot to see for sure.
Just my opinion, Good Luck!

I just checked and a new one (without S/C) is $2850.
Did you blow yours up? What ya doin?
If I was gonna build one that ebay engine might be a good start as long as it doesn't go up too high. You could even get good money for the S/C, manifold and other parts.

for $550 i think it would be a decent deal. even if it needs some work the price is right.
I'm pretty sure you can buy a new one for less than $2850. check out crate engine depot, my understanding is they are complete with the SC

Just checked again and auction is still at $550 with a little over a day left. If it doesn't skyrocket at the end someone might get a pretty good deal.
Oops, also, that $2850 is crate engine depot with no SC.
