Wow... This sucks

How much are you guys paying for insurance? I called them today and asked how much it would be, and they told me $413/Month -- Thats INSANE.

I don't know how I'm gonna afford that, but I've already assured myself I'm getting this car...

If you have other cars to put on insurance you could use that as leverage or just threatin them with moving the cars to another company...

please include your age and what kind of car your driving (like SS/SC) with what you pay, im trying to figure out if it's a age thing..

I also just asked my dad, he has 3 cars under State Farm, and we've never had insurance problems...

$413 sounds a bit rediculus.. eh?

If it's your 1st car, then I'm sure its that + your age and the fact that its a SC/SS. But it still seems high. Shop around, I understand you're thinking of going through them because your dad is under them, but maybe you can find something better somewhere else. Maybe even talk to you dad, a company might give you a break if you switch to them.

I'm 22 with an LS approx. $100 a month.

My 4th car with 1 minor and 1 major accident on my record.

Mine was 100 a month until I got a 5 point ticket. I got it in my sentra doing 103 in a 45. Got cut down though. Two of my friends got the same exact ticket at the same exact time. It was wack. After that ticket it currently sits at

911 / 6 months.

So thats like 150 a month.

I know this cause I got my Nation Wide insurance bill yesterday lol. My brother pays 1300+ on his Saturn Redline and hes 19 w/ no tickets.

I just turned 23 and am under my parents.

Too many variables, Will be different from state to state. NJ along with Florida, I believe are on the highest side. It will also matter as to what town you live in, as I just found out. Was, $165/mo, down to $111/mo by moving 40 miles away! That is for clean record, 31yrs for SS/SC with Geico.

Young people are always a high risk for insurance companies....therefore the high cost. It sucks, but it's a part of life. I paid quite a bit when I was younger, but I don't remember it being $400 a month.

22 with a SS 2,4... 155$ a month.

Try asking them if you take a 2year contract if they'll lower the price, that's what I did, went down 55$.

Well, your 17, and probably living with your parents, it's easy. You say your dads the primary driver. Plain and simple. By doing that, I only pay 700 every 6 months, and I have ... a lot of tickets. I don't even live with him!

PS) I ahve a saturn redline... aka ss/sc
