lol. i got mine in the summer going into 11th grade. im 17. going on 18 march 3 w00t!!

i bought mine myself. got my LS for 12,000 flat off the lot new. i puta down payment of 1500 bucks and then got the 0% finance. so im paying a good 148$ a month for my car. parents help with insurence but thats all i can afford. i mean i tip my hat to all the guys with ss/sc paying 400 bucks basically a month at only 16-18 years old. thats definetly an accomplishment.

wish i had an ss/sc though. but i needed a car and the 0% my dad said with the deal i got was good enough. so im happy. plus i already done some mods to make it a lil faster

edit: and for age, whos the oldest???????????? my bets on sneaky lol sorry man

Got my SS S/C when I was 17, now I'm 18, turn 19 in september. Damn $430 a month KILLS my modding budget! I didn't want to get the car unless I could pay for it, I didn't want mommy and daddy to hand it to me like all the other kids at my school, AND I CAN STILL SMOKE ALL OF THEM!!!

 

....i wish my parents would pay for my insurance and gas and car payment every month.... heck my cell phone bills, my lan line and internet bill, my student loan payment to. ive had to pay for all 6 of the cars ive had.

and no, money given to you at a young age, money left to you by a family member that died, or anything else like that counts as "buying the car with your own money" .

this isnt directed at EVERYONE. but i know their are people out there this applys to.

I didn't realize so many younger people bought thier own ss/sc cobalts. I figured a lot of them had help with it or got it as a present. Opens up my eyes some to see people actually swinging 400+ payments. I couldn't even get by with that now, I'm lucky to have only 200 and 6% interest. Anyway, my respect to those of you who have pulled that off.

edit: I'm 26 btw don't think I count as a young owner. $10,000 down on mine. You guys have awesome part time jobs. Took from 19-25 to save that money to put down lol.

 

got my 06 ss/sc on july 29, 3 months after my 19th birthday. put 4000 down and the payments are 280 a month. 6 years of course. only way i could do it with going to school full time and working part time.

so dont say that we all are like this. im gonna speak for others when i say most of us pay for this car. but hey if not then who cares. a cars a car. if my parents coulda bought the car for me id do it. heck then its more money for mods. wish my parents did. then i woulda had 2500 bucks saved up and pay for a turbo or something lol.
