Group Buy on SS-TC Charge Piping Kits!

Yes sir...we did it with our well-loved 3" SS exhausts, now we are doing it with our new TC parts.

YOU name the Group Buy terms and conditions for a Group Buy on our new Charge Pipe Kit!

We're going to run this past Forum members first, then to the general public.

I need your opinions...

How much?

How fast?

How many?

What options?

What colors?

...let the Group Buy begin.

UPDATE: 10-25-08

With your input, which we value greatly, I now propose the following for the smoothest, most versatile Charge Air Piping Upgrade available for Cobalt SS/TC! Includes T-bolt clamps (deduct $50 if you'd prefer our NO-CUT worm drive clamps).

MSRP: $549

Group Buy Terms:

$449 if we get 10 players
$399 if we get 15
$349 if we get 20

The GB would close on Friday, November 28th, allowing ample time to get this under the tree in time for Christmas.

Combine your purchase with our Performance Intercooler Upgrade and also enjoy Free Shipping!

Hahn RaceCraft takes great pride in mandrel bending all their pipe upgrades in-house, and this new system is no exception. Our continuous one-piece mandrel bending provides a smoother, better flowing, and more attractive result than welding together multiple 'chunks' of tube sections. Compatible with both stock and Hahn RaceCraft intercoolers, this system replaces your unatttractive stock plastic piping with a better-flowing alternative that won't spring leaks, looks great, and will support any power level you wish. Plays well with Hahn/BSR PPC Tuner.

As an additional bonus, this system will support our soon-to-come Blow-Off Valve Upgrade. It features our own Silicone Couplers and 'no cut' hose clamps. If you like, you can also upgrade to T-bolt style clamps for an additional charge. Powder coated either in our standard gloss black or your choice of colors*.

Available options:

T-bolt clamps
Custom colors*

*Add one week to standard lead time for custom colors. Please email us a photo showing the color you wish to match. Exact matches cannot be guaranteed, but we have yet to experience customer dissatisfaction with the results!

No, 02's are in the exhaust system...what you see there mounts your MAP2 sensor and a signal hose for the BOV.

We have our first bid...$300. I'll confess...a bit on the low side, but let's see what other folks have to say!

Available as an option, for sure! Thanks for reminding, I added them.

However...Our 'no-cut' standard clamps are proven effective in these applications, and considerably different from the garden-variety cheap worm-drive hose clamps you may be used to. Made in Germany, these are a major step up, with a series of design enhancements you won't find elsewere. We've sold over 100,000 of them over the years!

No turbo for me but $300 is too low. I say $375 as a starting point.

+1 on the t-bolt clamps.
I've seen too many worm clams fail to ever use them again.

I agree 375 gloss black. A group buy on the tuner would be ideal.

$300 picked up at your place in Yorkville...

Basically, I'm not planning to do a lot of modding, but realize that the charge piping is a weak point of the design...I just want to get rid of the ugly plastic and get something more reliable...

Why would you want larger than stock? Increasing the diameter of the charge piping without a need to (an effin big turbo), will only result in a slower response time.

.... that's both threads...

Again... no real peak gain... simply a supporting mod...
It simply reduces spool time and response by putting less 'give' in the system. Think of conventional brake lines vs SS braided lines. Less expansion in the line, therefore quicker response.
