zig did you try flipping your bulbs?
the beam pattern is far more normalised and bright to drive with.
but you will have the return lead line on the road thats all.

an0malous I had to flip my halogen bulbs around to give me even lighting...if you look at any of the pics from before I had them aimed you can see two round dots under the cutoffline. Took the headlight out and just turned the light over to see if maybe it would do anything and it did. Got rid of my bright spot in the middle of my cutoff...i'm sure its the same deal with the hids

If there's anyone in STL who wants to aim mine, I'll give them $30 to do it right. That means very little or no notch. I've been trying to get mine properly calibrated for the last 2 hours with no luck. I'm way too pissed to keep trying to do this. Somebody PM me ASAP.

I'll put an ad in my profile until the offer is over. Please help me!

Awesome!

Hey, I'm a n00b to the forums and a while ago I saw a good how-to about installing the Halo Projectors - man are those things ever sweeeeet! My problem is that I can't find anywhere to get them.. now I'm sure it has been posted at some point, but would someone be so kind as to paste a link showing me where I can get them or suggest somewhere to look?

- Kristiano

I just attempted to aim them again. For the 4th time they aren't right. I'm very close this time, but these damned things won't line up in the distance at all. And that "Z" shape won't go away.

If you are anywhere remotely near 63040, I will pay for you to align my projectors and high-beams. I will cover your gas. PM me!

Z shape is an intended part of projectors.
it allows you to have higher lighting on your lane, and the ditch, while keeping the beam below oncoming traffics eyes.

I worked on my projectors this weekend - I drilled out a slot for the return lead and they slid in nicely, but they are still tight enough that the bulb doesn't wiggle around. I don't get how people could actually fit the bulb in there without drilling (unless they put the bulb in where the original H1 bulb went in. Anyhow - I still have somewhat of a black spot and I am curious if it is from improper aiming or whether I need to drill more out in the projector.... I will post a picture tonight and maybe someone here can maybe give me some opinions. Damnit! I am at work and now I am itching to get home and do something about this...

Welcome to the club, glad you finally got around to installing these. If you go back through all my posts, here and clubg5, you'll find that its not really the aiming of the light but the focus of the beam in the housing. Before you attach the lights to the car, shine the lights against a wall and give the bulb a wiggle, in/out up/down and notice how the beam pattern changes. People have also recommended removing the small rubber nipple from the bulb, I have not tried that however. Good luck

the housing is made with small holes to allow moisture and heat to escape. If the lights are on, it should burn through the fogging pretty quickly, especially if you are using HIDs.

Before we can help you with the beam problem, you have to tell us what type of bulbs you are using. and posting pictures from inside the car at night (no flash) of the beam pattern

How high should HIDs be up from the ground when aimed at a wall or a garage door?

Anyone know?
