2.2 L61 Engine: Cheap Intake Manifold Swap

Cheap Intake Manifold Swap
Hey, so i have researched this for a long time on how to swap an intake manifold from a 2.4 to a 2.2, or from a lap 2.2 to a l61.
Now everyone says ohh no itll blow up!?
The throttle body off the 2.4 does work itll blow up
The gasket kits are 300$
Buy a new one from turbo tech racing
Now, I have done extensive work to my 2.2, Ive built it from stock.
I have performance cams, head rebuilt, etc etc. everything for power except forced induction, I have a decent amount of experience so! lets get down to it
1. buy a 2.4 intake manifold from a scrap yard 2007+, or a lap 2.2 intake manifold which is the same off the 2008-2010.
2. remove cold air intake, disconnect fuel rail + injector wiring harness with a flat head screwdriver
3. disconnect evap line, brake booster air line.
4. remove the throttle body, swap intake manifold sensor on top of the manifold completely
5. remove the 10mm bolts holding on the intake manifold
6. clean off gaskets on new one, oil a bit with some motor oil, clean throttle body new and old
7. repeat steps to re-install
Now i have seen some low end gains off the line in first pull to kicks ass gains at WOT, idle has increased from 900rpm to about 1300 rpm. fuel economy went down from 7.6l/100km to 8.0l/100km, now it really doesnt idle with the comp cams
but she rips!! im thoroughly impressed
cant post photos. because i need to link them. but i will soon
