Awsome stuff is it not,Iam so surprised that this has not been done by more members.
heres wgat mine looks like now, also go a matching two-tone shift boot

that blue one is nice, mine matches with my other stuff, like i have a CF boot on my shifter and my ebrake, the denter cap is CF, like i used the same CF fabric used for the boots to cover the center cap of the steering wheel, the casing sorrounding the cruise control button are CF too, once more i used the CF fabric, and the pull tabs(the ones that say airbag) on the "A" pillar have been wrapped in CF aswell(same fabric as boot), so now its matchin alot, im gunna go out and buy some CF vinyl and do the door pillar CF too,

So I went with:

momo airleather shift knob

it rocks, looks great, more weight to it than the stock one, high quality leather and it sits lower than the stock one so it's like if I had cut my shifter, I like that.

momo pitstop metal handbrake handle and boot

can I say MUCH better than stock? huge improvement, was a bit of a PITA to fit, in fact I'll probably have another go at it later by fixing the boot to the console maybe, but it's still great, I like it a lot.

Took a few pics, they didn't come out very good since the lighting conditions and high contrast didn't help but you get the idea.

Or you could go to ebay. BTW: that looks good. I might be doing this.
Copy that--I HATE the stock one that keeps sliding off...I might try this.

yeah and now I don't need to cover it with the console to hide it's uglyness!

I wish it came with another button, I've been looking for one.. do you think they sell that without the new handle? I'd love to get a chromed one, plus the "opening" in the momo knob is quite big for our little button as you said

do you have the momo knob too? looks a lot like mine

which shift boot did you get? I had a hard time securing the stock boot on my new knob. I have a temporary solution but it'll need a redo soon I think. I might have to glue them together but that's a bit drastic..

looks like you have this one? am I right?

this is mine

I didn't "fix" the boot yet as it's quite rigid and fits correctly like that.

I was too big for our cars so I had to bend it at the bottom for it to fit correctly but other than that it's fine.

definitely wasn't worth the price though, unlike both other parts that are great.

hmm i dont know if they sell just the button, but the one i bought came w/a button, and as for the boot, the ebrake came with the boot already attached, but s ince i had to grind off 2" of it, i had to custom attach it, theres not need to glue, just do this...

that will make it so the bot wont go down to much to leave only the handle, but make sure the tape is on the boot and handle...so it will have a "fold over" loo...i'll show you what i mean.

you see the bottom of the RLO is hidden inside the boot, only the part tha tucks in is sowing, well i did the same thing, i taped the bott from the inside and now it looks nice at where is starts, likes its mounted on there, like it belongs...lol, but it will give it that "folded over look i was talking about...and i dont have the CF knob anymore, i sold it to my friend...cuz i liked the one that came w/my short shifter

man I'm lovin everyones "boot" mods,so surprised this has not caught on like wildfire considering this is one of the least appealing things on the interior of our cars

Yes, looks good in the end but I want to note that you shouldn't be twisting that stock handle cover, there is a tab on the bottom of it you need to push in to release. Or, per GM Service Information (Technician's Web Resource), you squeeze on both sides of the cover around that point and it should release from the clip.

I don't understand why the threads I have seen about this....
everyone seems to be hacking up the lever ????????
Does the handle that you use not fit ?????????
Mine fit with VERY LITTLE MODIFICATIOS

Here is where I installed my Isotta Handle,
boot should be done real soon by ShiftStyle.

You do NOT need to start sawing and hacking anything.... just pull like hell so that it will slide on. Anyone with any strength can do it.

Only thing i sanded was the button so it would sit right with the chrome button.

Well...there's a guy on ebay that makes carbon fiber shift/ebrake boots in pairs for about 35 bucks if that's what you're going for. Personally I prefer good leather (maybe momo) but to each their own.

Sorry guys, I know this is a dead thread but I found a link to it in one of the stickies so I figured it would be better to post here than make a new one. I know a lot of people have been using MOMO handles but those are super expensive. what other handles have you guys had luck with?
