I have one in my trailblazer and it's nice but ur likr me with 5% on the rear glass you don't need it. Tint is cheaper and easier than the mirror to redo the cobalt a next week is $140 to strip and redo proffecionally. I have my TA 20% front and 5% on hatch and t tops I wanna get the sunroof on the cobalt do so I don't have to slide the cover closed during the day here. I do like those mirrors always though they were a waste till my last few cars with them

 

i could care less about the auto dim, i just want the compass

 

This doesn't affect onstars functionality, right?

 

not at all, if you have it and do the mirror swap(as long as you get the mirror with onstar still) then its not going to change anything

why do u need the extra wire for acc 12v, the wiring harness of the stock mirror has an acc 12v wire on it.

I would like to do thus but does anyone know if it is possible to use the harness from the lsj that it came out of on to my same year le5 I would rather try to plug it in behind the driver rear seat where it disconnects then start splicing **** thanks

 

I have an autodim with compass and temp built in from a Saturn Vue redline.

Me again as my car is still in pieces loi just need to know if I go through all the trouble to make one out of the two harness and then hook up the green to #13 will it even work due to the lack of wires from one harness to the other I don't carr really if I have on star I just want the compass and auto dim

I know this thread is old but to the person that started this thread & especially to the person that posted the schematic of the mirror connector... THANKS!

Because of this thread I resolved an issue I always had with my car... no compass. I ordered a mirror from an 07 HHR off ebay from LKQ for $40. I went to install it & if it hadn't been for the schematic I wouldn't have gotten the map lights to work. Those are so cool to have. Besides adding the arm rest, this is my favorite mod
