Drivetrain: How-To: Install B&M Shiftplus
thats because your tires are shirping as you shift into 2nd, try leaving it in L until 2nd gear
when you shift into L do you see a yellow/orange "T/C" light on your dash? if you do you have traction control, which it sounds like you do, you want to leave T/C off (by leaving it in L) until you have completely shifted into 2nd
scenario:
you're stopped, shift into L, go wot, car hit 6200rpm and shifts into second, 2nd gear, car hits 5k rpm, shift into I or D, car hits 6200rpm and shifts into 3rd
too many people have spliced the wrong wire and had issues with wires not making good contact which messes up their transmission shifts until they fix it
it's a good mod for autos, but its very easy to mess this up, and if you do, your car wont move (ex. splice into the wrong wire and car wont shift out of 1st lol)

sounds like user error

Its not user error. I know how to use it and let it shift into second from L without touching it, but right after it shifts into 2nd is when it drops out. And no T/C light comes on. It won't even go to third because to even get the gas pedal to respond I have to shift it back to D
to me, it sounds like user error. but i apologize if im wrong
that's likely because of the increased pressure from the trans lines. its probably ok, but i have never heard any noise on the numerous cars ive installed this on
i was wondering if it is the right kit the part num 70380 and what are the 2 colors for the wires i need to tap into because the instruction sheet i have is for gm 93-98 trans code MTI-M30 is thias the right kit ?
i hooked everything up but its not working...... i think they might have sent me the wrong one. the number on the back of the box is 70380 and it says for rear wheel drive and 4 wheel drive.. is this the same one everyone else has?
