I have been running my 2006 cobalt LS with the B&M Shiftplus for about a year and a half now and must say i am very satisfied, i have never had CEL due to the shift plus weather it is on stage one or two. I would however like to bring it to the attention of some that when installing the B&M Shiftplus the red wire with the black stripe in witch you connect the red shiftplus wire too is actually an orange wire with a black stripe (witch was the case on my 2006 LS), note that you should only do this if the red wire with a black stripe is not present in the stock wiring harness.

if you read the past 31 pages you'd see lots of people have said orange wire is on 06+... nothing new.

if you bothered to read any of the last 31 pages of information you would find that when you turn the car completely off and back on so long as the shift+ is in the off position everything should return back to normal you cannot return it to the off position from stage II it will stay in stage II until the vehicle has been turned completely off then back on... now stage I is debatable, some people have had success with bouncing between stage I and off and it works.. it works on my car, but some others have said it doens't work on theirs... i restart my car after i turn it off from either stage just to make sure. but i normally leave it in stage I all the time...

I installed this and i can tell that it is not stock. but from what i was reading it seems like it should be a stronger push... any ideas to make it a harder push?

Does this void my factory warranty? I want to install it but I do not want to void my warranty as I have quite a few miles left on mine.

Our tranny's are def capable of handling the extra pressure! I've had mine installed for a few months and have had no problems with it! Love it! Easy install as well! Definitly notice a difference compared to stock and stage 1an 2.

just quicker shifts and makes it almost equal to a manual. When automatics shift they lose some power making the manual shifting more efficient. This makes your transmission shift harder and you dont lose power in between shifts.

ok. I have an 09 2.2l I ordered mine and it should be coming in on thursday or friday. I went out to my car to see what Im looking at and there are no red wires. Theyre all orange and 2 have a black stripe. What happens if I hook it up to the wrong one? Will it hurt my car?

Yea do you have to disconnect the battery? I got mine in today and I have no clue how to "mate" the wires. What are the pink and blue plastic pieces for? I know its something to do with the "mating" part but im not sure how to use them.

take a knife and slightly strip a small part of each transmission wire, so that the bare wire is showing. then just twist the wire from the shiftplus onto the stripped appropriate wire, and electrical tape it up nicely. thats all. no cutting wire or anything.
