Drivetrain: How To: Install BWoody Solid Front Transmission Mount
How To: Install BWoody Solid Front Transmission Mount

Installing this front tranny mount is probably easier than installing the ARK Shorty Antennae. If you're at all worried about doing this mod because of difficulty, reconsider.
Total Installation Time: ~ 15-30 Minutes
Here's a picture of my mount in "Wrinkle Black":

If you're not sure where you're really putting this thing, here's short video showing where the mount goes for people who are unsure of how easy this really is. The video shows the car with the solid mount already in. It was a bit hard to get a good angle with the car on the ground but you can see the mount in the top left corner. Note: I don't really have a high pitched voice or a rediculous southern accent like the video seems.

- Put blocks/wedges behind the back tires so the car doesn't move anywhere and jack the front end of the car up high enough to get jackstands under it.
- Use the jackstands to hold the car up and the jack for supporting the engine/transmission. The best way is to use a block of wood between the jack and the engine/tranny to spread the load rather than having it all on a concentrated point.
- Using a ratchet and socket, unscrew the 3 bolts on the side of the mount. They were not too tight and were pretty easy to get cracked/removed without alot of strain. Take note of where the longer bolt goes. If the wood-block support is jacked up enough, the engine should not move a bit during the next step which is important.
- Remove the stock mount, once bolts are out it will just fall out. Replace with the BWoody Solid Mount. Bolt into place making sure the long bolt goes in the correct place. There should be absolutely no problem with this since the jack is supporting the powertrain. Here is a picture of the stock mount removed:

- Make sure the bolts are tightened well enough.
- Lower the jack and remove the block of wood from under the engine/tranny. Then jack the front end up enough to remove jackstands and lower car to the ground.
- Enjoy.
