Great How-To. Thanks for spending the time to do it.

Now a question.... I'm going to be installing the JBP Vortex header onto my stock downpipe , and GMPP exhaust. The header did not come with the three double-headed bolts you mentioned. Are the bolts from the stock mani re-usable? Or should I buy three nuts and bolts?

Any help would be great.

Not a problem man! I'm glad ppl are getting use out of it!

Are the three holes on the header threaded? If do you can use the stock bolts, but I'd still probably go out and buy new ones. If you already spent that much on the header, whats 3 bucks for a few bolts right? If they are not threaded just go out and buy 3 nuts and bolts

The holes on the JBP are threaded. Sweet. Do you think I'll even be able to get the original bolts out tho? Whatever tho...if they don't come out...I'll hit up home depot...

Yeah man just take that header with you, and make sure you get the right size. Also make sure before you try to remove any bolts, to douse that **** with some penetrating fluid! It really helps a ton!

{EDIT} I just remembered that the 3 bolts for the DP/manifold are actually stuck in the manifold. So yes, you would have to get new bolts regardless

You should be fine with the stock gasket. But most headers come with new gaskets.

You are better off replacing a used gasket. They aren't that expensive anyways.

when i did this i replaced my stock header studs with bolts the same size... this made it 3 times easier to install. i would sugest running down to the store and picking up a set to make your life easyer.

Will be using this in a few weeks. How will I hook my AFR sender to the 02 sensor? It's just a narrowband, but the readout will be more realistic from the 02 as compared to the under-hood wire..
