2.0 LSJ Engine: How To: Install Spark Boot Spring Upgrade Kits (2.0 LSJ)
Yeah, if it's just the surface that's not going to affect anything, but from the pics it kinda looked like they were pitting. Really, when you change the springs in your spark boot you should put some dielectric grease on there. That's what it's designed for, and is only like 3 bucks for way more than you'll ever need.
My mistake. (like I said it looked like pitting)
When I took mine off last night (after only 50ish miles) they were noticeably more dull than when I put them in. I put a coat of dielectric grease on and then took it for a test drive to make sure I didn't mess up anything. I'll pull them in another couple hundred and check.

I put mine in last night. I used a screwdriver to push out the stock springs/retainers. It was a very simple install. While I was at it I cleaned my plugs. I didn't notice a thing with the new springs. I'm sure there is some small difference though. I just got a custom street tune, soo my idle was already completely smooth, and the motor winds like a top. I have not had any misfires or anything. All in all for the price I paid, I find it to be a worthwhile addition to my ever growing list of mods...
I actually didn't have any at the time. I will put some on in the next couple days. It is such an easy mod that it shouldn't be bad to tear at back apart.
BTW, the names Cory lol.

^^^^ No I have never been there. From what the PGH guys say though it's supposed to be pretty nice. I live by Greensburg though, and Wexford is quite a haul... The woman and I might ride the bike out there some time if I know some people are going...
BTW, I put some dielectric grease on the springs last night. They were oxidized after one day and about 10 miles... But no actual problems with them or anything...

well thanks to this mode i now need to buy new coil packs becasue they ******* corroded everything and made my car ******* shutter and then shut off. got to love finding this out 3 weeks after installing them. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
I have a complete set of good used coils that I might be willing to part with. Let me know.
seriously all that conducts electricity out of the coil is a little contact point clean it up and put the stockers back in and see what happens...
by the ocean?
