my springs came in today, im hoping the electric impact will be enough for that strut bolt, as it seems to be the biggest pain in the whole install

Ok, I installed the Eibach Sportlines on my 2.4. Everything went great. I removed the TOP shock bolt on the rear I don't know if that makes a difference but now that the springs are on the rear passenger spring makes weird creaking noises. I took everything off again after a day of creaking to look at it...it looked a little twisted but nothing really bad...I adjusted it to make it look EXACTLY like the other side and its still creaking. I Just can't figure out what it is. Could it be a faulty spring? Could it somehow posibly be the clear rubber wrapped around the spring? PLEASE someone help me!!

Springs by themselves dont make noise. Usually its the mounts. Check the top and bottom spring buckets. Clean them out, check the mounts for tears or cracks. It doesn't matter which shock bolt you removed. But the shock itself could also be the culprit.

hammer them out, they are pressed in, use a hammer and hi the threading side to get them out, the holes dont hav threading, so once u beat them out they should slide off...good luck

the top pain in the ass strut bolt can EASILY be solved with an impact wrench. vice that sucker and grab the right socket and unbolt away. just press down hard and keep gunning it, itll come loose. same way with reinstallation.

mine are like that too, can't even get them off with an impact wrench.

i use a small pair of vice grips, there's just enough space behind the bushing to get a small pair on there. should go on after that.

Funny, we tried that and everything else. Do you mean like just in front of the rubber part? That is what we were trying to grip.

behind the bushing. try grabbing it and screwing the nut on manually ALL the way down then back off. should make it easier, then put on the vices in the backside and screw it back on.

Letting a shop deal with it while I get the alignment done, then I can blame them if it screws up

I love having almost no body roll

will be about a 1/2 drop all around, and will be better handling. not as good as aftermarket, but much better than stock 2.2 springs.

you're welcome. and even though it's only like a 1/2 inch, it makes a big difference appearance wise since the 2.2 looks like a monster truck. any lil bit helps!
