G85 is an option that can be added to the Cobalt SS/SC. It used to consist of a limited slip differential as well as recaro seats. But now I believe you will only get the LSD, and not the recaros on a new 2007 cobalt.

i would suggest a silecone sealant.. its messy and takes overnight to dry, but it holds bro

good job tummy. it looks nice. they have matching paint for your sunburst orange? talk about lucky.. thats a rare color on an even more rare car ( the ss s/c)

The original plastic slats have to be cut out with a Dremel or something along those lines. That "SS" emblem can be bought at the dealership or online at crateenginedepot.com, or you he may have removed it from the back of the car or something.

1. Take stock grill out. Two pop tabs on driver side and few across the top and on the passenger side. There are two square socketed plastic screws on the inside of the grill that can only be accessed from the backside of the bumper.

so how do i get those screws out??

I got a square headed screwdriver and was able to reach them by sticking my arm in the opening where the hood latch is. But first remove all the other tabs/screws so that you can free up enough remove to get your arm in there.

Without the grill, you will see about a dozen plastic clips that are molded onto the front bumper/grill area.

Ok after you take off the Chevy badge, the 6 pop tabs on the top, how do you get those ones that are on the side of the grill. They seemed like plastic pop rivets in to the foam.

liquid nails. first i cut the mesh out to shape (i used one piece) then i folded the edges of the mesh over and into the slots for the tabs on the grill, then once is was in there pretty good on its own, i ran a bead of liquid nails around the outer edge of the grill to hold it there permanently. problem is that when i was putting the grill back on the car, the top section came undone and you can see a little bit of the adhesive through the front of the grill. barely noticible though, im still happy with it.

and a few words of advice to those who do this in the future: WEAR GLOVES! this **** is extremely sharp. there is a trail of blood from my car to my apartment from when i was installing the lower grill.

Does anyone sell a front top and bottom grill kit? I feel like I'd have to be careful washing the car that I might break the grill or something.

Thanks for that info bro. I hear you on the sharpness. I had a couple cuts after my lower grill. Thanks again.

hmmm... so the piece of the grill/bumper that goes across that holds the badge isnt actually attached to the bumper?? and that whole section is actually a grill?? wow gotta check that out, i always thought u had to buy a whole new bumper in order to replace the grill. but i might try this when i get a chance, but i might cut out the middle piece that holds the badge (if that is possible) and go badgless.

unless you're really good with bondo/fabricating, i wouldnt tackle removing the whole middle section. the part the badge is attatched to is part of the bumper itself, but the grill is separate (which also has a bar going across the middle, to support the bar the badge is mounted on)
